In case anybody was wondering about stands, I can confirm that Sound Anchor ADJ2s are compatible - they can be lowered enough to have the speakers at the correct height, and can take the weight. However, they are big, ugly, and expensive at $1300 per pair.

Those look not bad. Sound Anchor stuff is pricey.

Pricey for sure. Heavy as nuts too, they come sand filled.

Unrelated, does anybody know whether or not Neumann uses ferrofluid cooling for either mid or tweeter?

I've got the ADMID stands. Not filled with anything though as they are already beastly. I may buy castors for them. I'm guessing each side is 200lbs mid field, sub and stand.

What's Ferro fluid cooling on a speaker look like?

According to this review they use ferrofluid in the KH120’s tweeter. Not sure about their other models.

I think the kh120, 310 and 420 share tweeters?

Edit: I'd expect it to also have Ferro fluid then especially in the larger model?

Yes, I'd expect the tweeter to share it. I'm not sure about the mid. Though, I don't expect there is...

KH420 with 4 subs lol
I guess you can never have enough bass

what he said ^

I have 4 kh805’s in my room. They are located along each wall. They provide great punch and very smooth bass output . Better for me than 2 kh870 but equally powerful with no noticeable compression.
Just sharing

Can a setup like this with one sub work or do you need 2 for it to sound good ?

2 subs is better than one, and that is not where you want to place a sub for 2.1.

May I know why is that?

( I was planning to move my sub from a corner to the middle between the 2 speakers sometime later this year... )
( REW simulation seem to show more even bass ... compared to my current corner sub location. )

TLDR, directly centered ends up causing interference generally worse than offset to one side somewhat.

I find the depth of this sub design disturbingly a bit much. It can be difficult to position if you need it right against the wall for best FR.
You could turn it 90 degrees.

Every time I listen to this pair of O410 with a pair of KH810s I am blown away. They're to the left and right of my desk. Probably not anything close to optimal. Definitely overkill currently but it extends really well and only when needed. One day maybe they'll actually end up in a listening room.

Hi
Past week I acquired a pair of 420 , I love them.
But I have noticed that on one unit when you turn it on it makes a mini pop sound.
is this normal?
On the other unit it doesn't sound as loud but it does.
The sound is fantastic on both units, but I'm afraid this will damage the speaker.

I turn on the speakers with all the volumes at zero, I have also changed plugs and power wiring, the same speaker always does it.
