You mean 15 channel driven simultaneously?
Gonna have to walk me through that German chart showing 2, 5, and 7 channels with 7 channels at 153. Seems like all the measurements are usually concerned with 2 channel performance where here we see 5 and 7 channel. I realize not all are driven at once with surrounds, heights, using less. Confused with Denon specs saying 150 into 2 channels but haven't seen any specs or reports with muliple channels until this. Thanks for the primer.

It really is, the 7 channel figure especially. But I am not seeing them list at what distortion level the readings are taken at, without that kind of meaningless to me.
Vielen Dank!
As far as I can tell, they based it on 1% thd.

Why are ACD ratings particularly important? Especially in terms of content that would use such....what, maybe an explosion?

Duration, full frequency range, AVR impedance setting, ...?

Sorry if my post insinuated that it was not a good question. I didn't know either
My wife asks me what I'm reading...I start to recite passages loaded with IMD THD SPL kHz and she says "never mind". Fun!

Your know German, why not give them a call and let us know your finding.;) Ask your friends at NAD the same, about their own specs, how do they do their own bench test to confirm the specs.:D:D

By way of comparison, here is the Yamaha A8A which occasionally drops to $1600 (last time was Nov 2024 though). It’s still very good, but you can see how it more quickly drops off as you ask more of it. The Yamaha is one of the best AVRs tested by the magazine which really highlights what a step up the A1H is in terms of powering multiple channels.
