I've had that damn song in my head ever since I posted the pic. Singing it in the car this afternoon.
Our son was a pre-schooler when this show was first on and we all watched a good few of them - cough :)

I didn't seriously think Harman could sink the JBL name any further when I bought one of these as a joke to test a few years back. A lightbulb with the JBL name on it.:

@restorer-john actually Barbie one is kind of cute and reminds a bit with it's shape to vintage guitar ones.
Actually the products for kids should be tested even more rigorous if you ask me (to protect kids).
Thing is no one see it coming that their (IKEA) panel "picture frame" on wall will really sound good and mesure so until it whose done hire. Sometimes gem's lie where you list expect them, of course that will happen very rare.

Erin says "And I need to point out again that we are talking about a lamp speaker. So, naturally, we have to cut it some slack."
Why would you cut it slack?
You are testing it's audio reproduction capability, not it's versatility.

Someone needs to do the reverse and turn MBL speakers into a lamp!, the shape allready kind of works.

Must admit I prefer the ability to skim written reviews, not a fan of being directed to watch a youtube video review. Probably in the minority and do appreciate what is being provided.

For anyone unaware, these are built in collaboration with Sonos and can act as wireless rear speakers in a quasi 5.1 surround system for anyone with a Sonos soundbar etc. Solves a lot of peoples objection to more speakers and more wires everywhere as long as you don't find the lamps themselves too objectionable.

Only in my wildest IKEA-induced fever dreams.
Not a sub mounted in the couch or a
sofa, but I can very well imagine that they bring out someone who you push in under a sofa. Perhaps.

If IKEA thinks that there is money to be made with a under the sofa sub they will not hesitate.:)

Would the person who can be pushed under a sofa be restricted to certain IKEA sofas or could I push them under my existing sofa?

I could see this being popular in Austria, push someone under the sofa for a few months and see how you like it before you go to the trouble and expense of converting your basement.

They have probably already thought about it. Does not have to be under just a sofa. Something that fits in stylistically, that the large mass of people can like. Collaboration with Audio Pro and some Ace Bass technology would be natural.:)

Maybe too big, too heavy and too little money for Ikea to bring home when it comes to selling subwoofers.
