First time Merging did a USB input - inexperienced ?MT48 build quality is kind, emmm.....
It's just some Assembly Tolerance, but as a device for that price point, it shoud be better. This has an influence on the characteristics announced ???
It depends what your considered irrelevant.Yep, that was my point, this is good for a studio that needs a really excellent, small number of channels, but for other use cases it's overkill / irrelevant.
Which equipment did it replace? I would appreciate details of your setup. It depends what your considered irrelevant.
Using the Anubis in our case remove about 10,000$ equipement.
Having the possibility of using DSP on each speaker output paid for the unit itself.
We add a HDMI to AES67 converter and we could switch flawlessely between a DAW and a Gaming console.
Just the volume control replace a SPL Volume 8.

Do you want to import the REW file in the Anubis ?For the EQ in MT48/Anubis, the Q value is not matched with REW, that pretty annoying.
If they can't provide a formula for translate Q value,I will need to find it by my own to using it for room correction.
The Anubis or MT48 uses a FPGA circuit (the Zinq from Xylinx) and the aluminum casing act as a heatsink + the fan.Replaced my RME Babyface Pro FS with the MT48 - been using it the last 4 weeks connected to my KH120ii. I love the intuitive onboard display, seamless connection plug-n-play to my Mac Studio M2. My only complaint - it gets hot compared to the Babyface Pro (which remains lukewarm at worst). In a smaller studio (10'x10'x9') like mine, you really need to have some air circulating out or A/C otherwise it warms up the room quicker than you expect. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Mac users.
I want use the EQ filters generated by REW in MT48, since soundID is not availbae in it.Do you want to import the REW file in the Anubis ?
I have prove myself wrong, it's not that simple , I even don't know how could I get that formulaAfter few tires, I found it's pretty simple since the Q in Anubis/MT48 is Q*4 in REW
Currently the Music mission is only for stereo and you can't control 3 mix's volume at same time.Does this make sens for a 2.1 setup
That is very interesting. Hopefully you can clear this doubt I have. If one goes the AES67 route (Kh-120II or Kh-150), do you really need an interface like the MT48? I mean, you can control the speakers from the computer (PC of Mac) just fine, right? (including DSP with Dirac Live BC installed in the PC).Replaced my RME Babyface Pro FS with the MT48 - been using it the last 4 weeks connected to my KH120ii. Good point and that's exactly how I had my Genelec's set up using the RME HDSPe AIO Pro PCI Express card in my PC connected to the digital input of my speakers. But having transitioned from PC/Windows to the Mac Studio, I'm now using the MT48 connected to the Mac via USB-C and I also record guitar, keyboard, drum effects, vocals, etc. so the MT48 fits the bill perfectly! Mac Studio users will always need an external interface of some sort if you want digital output to your speakers. That is very interesting. Hopefully you can clear this doubt I have. use a small desktop mic stand (there is mic threading on the back)My only complaint - it gets hot compared to the Babyface Pro (which remains lukewarm at worst). In a smaller studio (10'x10'x9') like mine, you really need to have some air circulating out o
Nothing with a <25 W power draw (that's what the spec says anyway) should qualify as literally "heating up the room". Gaming PCs dishing out hundreds of watts in action do. I guess you're a bit spoiled by your M2 Mac. The largest single heat source in the room may well be - you. (The ballpark figure for a human is roughly 100 watts.)My only complaint - it gets hot compared to the Babyface Pro (which remains lukewarm at worst). The AES67 support in KH speaker is limited to 96kHz, I think you can use it with Merging Audio Device if you don't need 176.4kHz and 192kHz.If one goes the AES67 route (Kh-120II or Kh-150), do you really need an interface like the MT48?
