New interface from Neumann after the Sennheiser group acquired Merging Technologies in 2022. Looks like an interesting all in one with DSP for 1850 USD.

With 4 band PEQ I can already see users requesting more, like RME ADI-2 series hehe.

I was about to make a thread for this new AI :) 136dB Dynamic Range is impressive. I do really want this AI tested by @amirm . My Sweetwater guys tells me it should be in stock by end of the month.

Here is the Sweetwater Hands ON video. The touchscreen UI is really cool.

At least 1 more than RME's TotalMix FX... Did anyone see power-related specs for the headphone-outputs?

I don't see power ratings for the headphone out:

I guess the +16 dBu are 4.9Vrms according to this.

BTW, the inclusion of AES67 interface makes it very compelling for KH150 AES67 owners.

What a beautiful product... which I have no excuse to buy :p

If I were making a wish list for someone focused on desktop listening and not production, it would be really slick if a future version could control the DSP capabilities of their monitors and room correction over the network.

I don't understand the calculator. Is it possible to calculate a measure in Watts for 300 Ohm and/or 32 Ohm headphones?

Watts is V^2/R, so if the voltage is 5v, say, the power into 32 ohms will be 780mW, Into 300 ohms, 5V will give 83mW.

S.
Thanks. So, if true, this should be enough for most headphones except the most power-hungry.

You aren't really going to get 136 db dynamic range. Interface specs are a bit deceptive about this.

as I posted when I first read about it... 78db of mic gain... 136 dyn range... a bit of gpio i/o... AoIP... well ok then...

Looks awesome if you need a maximum performance 2i4o interface but not sure that 3 bands of PEQ and a decent headphone amp are good enough reasons for listening-only buyers to get this thing at nearly $2K.

Not for listening only but this is not a DAC, hence listening only is not the aim.

a production tool - aimed at the UA apollo twin/?quad? market... guessing...
