March Audio: Too bad the speaker hot posts are not 19mm away from each other so one can bridge into 8ohms more easily.
Yes thank you. That "might" have been mentioned in the original article? LOL
What's that in "real" numbers???
Nice. The almost 20% tax isn't. Do you know if they waive it for US based purchasers?
A couple of Vanatoos are here.Wonder if the bossman has this in his storage, or the baby version meant for desktop use from Vanatoo >_>
Makes you wonder what would happen if the name was AprilMarch audio, on the 1st of March, I get it
The icom does not acheive hypex spec. Yes we have better Implementation. Why you tell that ?
You are a better version of the NC252MP module ? Better implementation ?
Oh you would be surprisedTypical for amps based on this series of modules. It's kind of difficult to mess up putting an all on one board amp in a box. Probably not enough power for inefficient speakers in large rooms.
Hi @Digital Mastering SystemMarch Audio: Too bad the speaker hot posts are not 19mm away from each other so one can bridge into 8ohms more easily.
The other thing to note is the resolution (granularity) of the measurement. As the knee is rising quickly there can be large steps between the points.I agree as well. Attached plot shows transition area in higher X-axis resolution. I would not use the "knee" point, but rather the 1% point, then even tube amps or similar to Pass amps might be defined in power rating. 0.1% point might be acceptable as well, but then amps with very low FB or tube amps would be specified to low and contrary to their use in real world.View attachment 52333
It's a primary standard -- like the SI standards -- the Pink Panther Unit (PPU). You know, like a Smoot...From the product page unless @March Audio has changed something:
Dimensions 330mm x 180mm x 75mm
I don't know the dimensions of the panthers... so I'd prefer measurements.
A pre amp and a stereo Purifi amp are coming soon. Efforts are currently concentrating on our first speaker (Purifi / Bliesma drivers) for the Sydney hifi show in April. The DAC update is therefore a lower priority but coming later in the year.
- Hooray for correcting the channel labels!
- While the difference in SINAD between channels is not measurement porn, it's inaudible. My Rotel RB-1582MkII has more transformer hum on the left channel, but it can only hear it when my ear is touching the tweeter with no music playing.
- @March Audio ever consider adding a DAC+pre in your line up? i.e. your current DAC with the same form factor, but with a volume knob.
I know, different modules. I get the impression that it is about the stereo module and not about its implementation as I thought at the beginning.
Tell me moreAhhh, @March Audio , if only you were closer...
