Refreshing movies worth watching

Something new and something older.

I saw Amsterdam last night. A bit quirky, but well worth watching, and for those who like to throw Taylor Swift under the bus, you surely will enjoy it. Bale is a very versatile actor.

One of my older favorites to watch that many have not seen or are aware of is "The American" with George Clooney. A tremendous film.

"The Forgotten Battle (2020)" -> IMDB -> https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10521092/

YT Trailer ->

The "Battle of the Schelde" evolves when allies need to retake the Schelde estuary. Germans have dug in and are controlling access to supply Antwerp.

Outstanding cinematography and a look at a Battle which is really "often forgotten" but pivotal to the allies. Certainly of interest to those studying or interested in the WW era.

Medieval based on true story was a good rental.
Been few and far between last few years for me.

Can a throwback action/crime movie be refreshing? Just watched Wheelman on Netflix and I liked it quite a bit. Sound was excellent as well.

This gem - although most of the soundtrack is terrible for my taste - had some impact...
...on me !

Mrs Harris goes to Paris is now streaming for free. It's been mentioned already but I thought it was excellent.

For free? Where can I stream it without paying for a streaming service?

I enjoyed it but my wife thought it was a pathetic boring joke and a blatant advertorial for Dior. Even 2 months after we saw it she still trashes it at every second social contact we make.
