Netflix's Adolescence is unlike anything I've ever seen:
I caught wind of this 4 part British limited series on social media where I saw a short clip of an interview with Stephen Graham, one of the two creators/writers and the actor who plays the father, discussing how the show was made. Each 50 minute episode was filmed in one continuous shot. He stated they treated each episode like a play and that the second episode took two takes while the fourth took fourteen; incredible. The camerawork and cinematography is amazing.
And to top it all off the story, writing, and acting are all absolutely wonderful. This show will run away with awards next year. And a serious warning - the show is sometimes hard to watch and a real bawl your eyes out tearjerker - especially if you are the father of a son. This is must see stuff.
