Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

And they were so close, too!

Haha, just need to screw the back on tighter?

A big plumber's wrench with coarse/rusty metal jaws should do the trick! Oh, and a pipe for extra leverage ...

Why go to the trouble of bookmatching the veneer on the side of the horn if you're not going to bother to line up the grain on the compression driver enclosure?

I’m kind of glad I don’t know what you’re talking about and wouldn’t notice it ;-)

Colleagues; If there is one thing this thread has proven, is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Personally I'm drawn to Scandinavian minimalism or form follows function. straight lines and furniture quality wood, mostly teak. The mid century designs of JBL, particularly the L 212 and the designs of Dieter Rams. Bauhaus maybe.

Some of these thing we've look like they are things from another world. Well to me anyway.

Meh,
I wish I had a picture of my dad's old stereo. It was built into a really nice sideboard.
I forget the tube amp and the turntable. Below you had space for records.
On the sides there were these large Wharfedale speakers.

(Something like this) I think ours had a pull out draw for the turntable.

I was sorry when the speaker driver disintegrated and the cone was sucked into the magnet.
Some of those console units were really beautiful pieces of furniture. Others, not so much!

Yeah this was a beautiful piece.
Hardly got used in the '70's and on... until the speaker died. Never replaced.
It was in the living room. You know the one room in the house that as kids you weren't really allowed to go into and was for when company comes...

They definitely nailed the concept of Black Box. Now the question: was it marketing or engineering that won that battle?
Probably a bit of both given it's for the installation market. Power is limited due to PoE, so they sensibly don't try plumbing the depths of bass. I'd be tempted to mount it out of reach in public environments, or someone will post things into the slots.
