I would disagree. Look at the horizontal and vertical radiation (isobars). On-axis response is only one element.

I also think what rather is audibly problematic is the widening both horizontally and vertically around 3 kHz where most people would want rather a sound power dip than a peak, the resonances are in comparison the icing on the cake.
