ASR found there was a limit to the power output of the amplifiers in their testing and review of the Onkyo TX-RZ-50 AVR and associated brand, Pioneer VSX-LX505 AVR. This make me wonder it there is a limit to the power output of other recent-model Onkyo and Pioneer AV receivers

I just got a pair of these in and they're between the Hifiman HE4xx and HE5xx in sound profile and quality. They take just as much power to drive them though (A30Pro in medium gain at 2 oclock to get them loud, you need to give them the beans/current for them to sound great but it's worth it). There's a lot of planar magnetic headphones I won't buy after hearing these.

I just got one of these to replace a clock radio that played MP3's and it's a good value. It doesn't support FLAC but I converted mine to MP3 just to have something to play in the other room. It sounds good on flat EQ but the headphone jack is useless as the noise floor on it is too loud on the jack. Over 5 volume it's not noticeable. MP3 playback has a random setting so good for tossing in a garage. Also it's got a battery option which is great for hurricane season down here.

I only get the Dukabel Topseries 6.35mm adapters after getting too many cheap gold plated ones jamming 50 percent of the time. Just ordered one, and they have a special where you get a free IEM with purchase of an adapter.

I have pair coming in today with an adapter I was going to get anyway. It'll probably be just good for phone/zoom calls, but I love free stuff. It's a 24 bit 96khz DAC on it, we'll see.

I am going to give it another shot at this price since I have the matching DAC, thanks! The first two I used had noise issues and were returned. You can't lose with Amazon ....

I just got one today on that sale and it works great. Just be sure to match the power plug into the brick so the long number is facing the blank side of the power brick. I had one reversed one time and it sounded really weird until I reversed the plug and it sounded great. Got it next to an A30Pro and sounds just as good, just not full power on the single ended side. With the Simgot EA500 the noise floor is silent and digital volume control for channel balance. They don't make the matching DAC, but the SMSL M300se in black looks close enough. Using a Topping E50 and sounds flawless.
