I don't know if it's true but beryllium sounds a bit different to me then other tweeters

They really shouldn't. It more likely that you're hearing the effects of one or more badly designed crossovers, or just placebo.

Apologies, I accidentally deleted my original post, so I'll attempt to repost it here in briefer form.

Prior to the release of the Genelec 9320A controller, Amir had suggested that I might be able to increase the performance of my Genelecs by foregoing the use of a DAC and preamp and adopting the (then) forthcoming controller.

Eureka!!

Fast forward some years, and I met with Steve Jones at Genelec, London - who has subsequently been helping me to optimise my Genelec set-up. This culminated in his suggesting a way that I could improve performance by removing my DAC, preamps and NUC streamer. It was here that things came together with my removing my high end Topping stack and my Intel NUC (on which I ran my Roon ROCK). I therefore went completely digital (AES/EBU) in my simplified set-up, by introducing the RDL HR-DSX4 digital selector running into a Genelec 9320A controller.

Put simply, the quality of improvement in the performance of my 8361A monitors and 7360A subs, when run in this way, far exceeded my wildest expectations; so much so that I'm now actually questioning the need to upgrade from my 7360A subs to the W371A's. And that is really, really saying something!

Interestingly, the huge improvement of the Genelecs when the system is run in pure digital mode is clearly suggested by Marcel Schechter's recent YouTube videos (regarding setting up the 9320A controller). Here, his noting of the superiority of digital set-up definitely complies with my own experience and seems worthy of deep consideration!!

All I can say with absolute certainty is that I genuinely had no idea just how incredible my monitors were - prior to adopting a pure digital set-up and removing the need for a DAC and preamp. For those Genelec owners who have not yet made that move, I highly recommend that you try it out. Once tried, I strongly believe that you won't go back.

To that end, I hope the underlying Steve designed attachment can help anyone else who might be interested in optimizing their Genelecs.

Over-joyed!

Hello all, not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I now saved enough and interested in purchasing a set of 8361A.

Issue is, where do I even get this from? I live in Southern California, if anyone can point me to the right person that can provide a good price, it will be very much appreciated.

I purchased my Genelecs from Vintage King. They have a showroom in Burbank.

They seem to be one of the largest seller in LA areal. I live in OC and the drive will be an hour.
Will probably have to make a phone call to make sure they are open on Friday XD

I used to live in LA but no longer.
You could fly from John Wayne to BUR...

I"ll have a take a detour during some company travel in the up coming weeks then.

The price of the one above, if it works, is low (no need for cables, impedance adapters, etc...).
If anything, I wonder why there are interfaces on the French site that cost more than €2,000...

Genelec 9320A is perfect for the job, works as an interface, includes GLM and calibration microphone, includes headphones output, includes volume control and all monitor controls like mute, mono, dim etc., allows for quick profile changes, volume level recall. It's way more elegant than a net of GLM adapters, usb to AES adapters and volume control on a thin cable, but a bit more expensive, however the speakers are not cheap either

Apologies for more or less repeating your response before reading on.

The 9320A works like a charm.
I have the Wiim Ultra connected via 110 ohm coax to aes/ebu cable to the digital input on the 9320A and my computer via USB.

Thinking about getting a pair of Genelec 8361A from my living room. I plan to be mostly using them to listen to music 75% of the time, but I'm wondering how well they would handle movies and video games the other 25% of the time. Anyone here use them as such? Thanks!

Also I see the base dimensions are 14" x 13 5/8". But what are the dimensions of the actual feet/base? Going to try to find a pedestal for them so would like those dimensions if anyone has them.
