Hello all, not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I now saved enough and interested in purchasing a set of 8361A.

Issue is, where do I even get this from? I live in Southern California, if anyone can point me to the right person that can provide a good price, it will be very much appreciated.
I purchased my Genelecs from Vintage King. They have a showroom in Burbank.

They seem to be one of the largest seller in LA areal. I live in OC and the drive will be an hour.
Will probably have to make a phone call to make sure they are open on Friday XD

From OC to Burbank on I5 on a Friday? More like 5 hours but ok.
I used to live in LA but no longer.
You could fly from John Wayne to BUR...

Alright alright, you guys have a point.
I"ll have a take a detour during some company travel in the up coming weeks then.

The price of the one above, if it works, is low (no need for cables, impedance adapters, etc...).
If anything, I wonder why there are interfaces on the French site that cost more than €2,000...

Genelec 9320A is perfect for the job, works as an interface, includes GLM and calibration microphone, includes headphones output, includes volume control and all monitor controls like mute, mono, dim etc., allows for quick profile changes, volume level recall. It's way more elegant than a net of GLM adapters, usb to AES adapters and volume control on a thin cable, but a bit more expensive, however the speakers are not cheap either

Apologies for more or less repeating your response before reading on.

The 9320A works like a charm.
I have the Wiim Ultra connected via 110 ohm coax to aes/ebu cable to the digital input on the 9320A and my computer via USB.

Thinking about getting a pair of Genelec 8361A from my living room. I plan to be mostly using them to listen to music 75% of the time, but I'm wondering how well they would handle movies and video games the other 25% of the time. Anyone here use them as such? Thanks!

Also I see the base dimensions are 14" x 13 5/8". But what are the dimensions of the actual feet/base? Going to try to find a pedestal for them so would like those dimensions if anyone has them.

This photo shows the dimensions of the various stand mounting plates for the different sized isopods. 8361A’s use the same plate as 8260.

The speakers are amazingly flexible, can be EQ'ed to adapt to all sorts of room and preference situations.

I don't use for gaming, but have to imagine the coaxial design, flat frequency response, and dramatic tuneability would work great.

For movies, they have tremendous bass, but subs are really the way to go. In fact, well-integrated subwoofers are the way to go in for music too. This applies to just about any mains no matter how deep they go.

Yes, and even more so with a pair of subs (say 73_0A's or - even better - W371A's). I'm getting a completely cinematic performance from my attached TV with my current set-up.

The W371A's are designed to act as stands for the Ones. But (if funds do not currently allow that subs option) you can get a pair of Genelec stands, which come with a customised top plate that accepts the 8361A's IsoAcoustics base without hindering the monitors' down-firing bass drivers. I had a pair of bespoke stands made with a similar principle.

Good luck.
