thank you for teplying. Could you be able to also find about the dac in Denon AVR-X4200W? Again i found nothing online. The AVR-X5200W uses two PCM1690 DACs for Zone 1 and two PCM5100 DACs for Zone 2.
These provide more than adequate D->A conversion, so there's no point in buying an external DAC![]()
2xAK4458 for Zone1 and 2xPCM5100 for Zone2 and 3.thank you for teplying. Could you be able to also find about the dac in Denon AVR-X4200W? Again i found nothing online.
Thanks again for replying . May i know where you find the info cause i searched everywhere could not find anything.2xAK4458 for Zone1 and 2xPCM5100 for Zone2 and 3.
In the service manual. Both can be downloaded online.May i know where you find the info cause i searched everywhere could not find anything.
i think i looked at the service manual too. where exactly in the service manual? Can you share a screenshot. Thanks. In the service manual. Both can be downloaded online.
the reason i was asking so that for next time i know where to look. Thanks. In the service manual. Both can be downloaded online.
Simply search the service manual for the DAC model name using Ctrl+F and it'll show you where.where exactly in the service manual?
Thanks for replying. Another question - i use left right rca to lightning cable to stream music from my iphone. The cable i have has small dac in the adapter. Also there is a dac in my iphone and receiver has its own dac. So when i stream music, which dac is being used?Simply search the service manual for the DAC model name using Ctrl+F and it'll show you where.

With the avr if you're using audio processing in the avr it will do an adc for that (along with another dac conversion), if you use pure direct it would bypass the processing in the avr. If using rca output from your dac via the dac/cable, you're using the dac in it. If you wanted to export the files from your phone digitally you could use airplay direct to the avr without a cable. Thanks for replying. I use direct mode not pure direct. So avr still using its dac. With the avr if you're using audio processing in the avr it will do an adc for that (along with another dac conversion), if you use pure direct it would bypass the processing in the avr. In Denon avrs pure direct's only difference is it turns off the avr's panel video/analog circuit. Both direct/pure direct in Denons will bypass processing. Connect the phone digitally via appropriate digital cable (don't know options on iphone cabling for that) or just go wireless direct to the avr via airplay.I use direct mode not pure direct. So avr still using its dac.
the reason i asked is because i want to use only avr’s dac. How can i achieve that?
Use the Digital audio inputs (Toslink, SPDIF Coax, HDMI)he reason i asked is because i want to use only avr’s dac. How can i achieve that?
I have hdmi to lightning adapter cable and a coax to lightning cable. That would work? but cables have small dac chip.Use the Digital audio inputs (Toslink, Coax SPDIF, HDMI)
Neither Lightning->HDMI, nor Lightning->SPDIF Coax cables have DAC chips inside.I have hdmi to lightning adapter cable and a coax to lightning cable. That would work? but cables have small dac chip.
where you are looking? Amazon? Can you send me a link?Neither Lightning->HDMI, nor Lightning->SPDIF Coax cables have DAC chips inside.
