Do you experience distortion or stuttering on mqa?I got 434845 beta for MQA.
No distortions in non-EQ mode, but EQ mode is broken and distorted even with flat preset.

if the case of the distortion linked to a dcr "limiter" even in no eq mode is something a little particular, depending on the particular conditions.. and will certainly be quickly repairedI'm building a headphone "rig" and have so far got a Wiim mini and Hifiman Sundara phones. I need an amp for them - the aux out on the Wiim is not powerful enough.
From tests using the headphone out on my itegrated amp, I also want to raise the bass on the headphones.
Would I be best getting a headphone amp/DAC with tone controls (the only one I have found is a budget Fosi Q4 with bass and treble knobs), or using the EQ within the Wiim?
I do not have tidal subscription nor MQA equipment atm.Do you experience distortion or stuttering on mqa?
My device was updated to 4.6.435135 which is different than the ones you mentioned earlier.
Indeed, I just saw the release notes:
Would like to know if this fw fixed it. Notes say it did.Just got 5135 FW, need to test it.
The mechanical coupling among speaker movement, air and microphone, could lead to see some harmonics.0dB 1khz Amazon music mini Soncoz DAC amp and speakers to iPhone mic….still has harmonics, fixed volume, No EQ. Dirty?????
May I ask you to capture a response of this file with the current FW?~/pyAudioTest-master$ python3 thdcalculator.py 1khz.wav 1000 5 15
filename = 1khz.wav
freq = 1000, t1 = 5, t2 = 15
frame rate = 44100, channel = 2
shape = (2, 1359872), dim = 1359872, sample_rate = 44100 channels = 2
track length = 30.84 seconds
low_freq = 10.0, max_freq = 1000.0
low_freq = 10.0, max_freq = 1000.0
channel 1: thd = 0.000 %
channel 2: thd = 0.000 %

Thks, there is a fair difference in level between tone and harmonics too. Just looking for as clean output as possible, hear it or not. My grandkids might.The mechanical coupling among speaker movement, air and microphone, could lead to see some harmonics.
The problem of clipping, with a tone signal approaching 0dB is easily hearable even at low loudness, moving the wiim app volume cursor to max or setting it fixed, lot of harmonics come up. Try some lower freq, it's easier to hear distortions.
if it is the same test where you found " 0.13%" , then it is likely that they removed the drc (put to help manage clipping problems in " eq on "mode which has been bothering them for months).....~/pyAudioTest-master$ python3 thdcalculator.py 1khz.wav 1000 5 15
