That's a heckuva box for a just being a meter. It does have a nice meter with that spade on the end and nice yellow color.

Kool Western Electric logo!
I grew up right down the street from the Hawthorne Works plant in Chicago / Cicero IL
At one time virtually everyone in the neighborhood worked for Western
It was a sad day in the hood when Western closed its doors for the final time.
A good piece of the land was used to build a large shopping mall but they saved the old WE tower and left it standing in the corner of the mall. I'm not sure if it's still there or not.

tho, who would have thought, all my stuff shines blue...from the htpc to the vu meters on my amp

I built this simple VU meter panel many years ago to compliment a backlit CD track which was also of my design. The factory installed LEDs were single wavelength orange, so I replaced them with more aesthetically pleasing CRI(e)96 emitters.

Almost bought one of these on Monday bc it’s so pretty but it prob needed lots of work. these used always look like they need work. $149 at Zia for anyone who knows how to fix things.
