I like the link to "Professional Reviews" on his homepage.
Unfortunately, the link to the unprofessional reviews is missing.

I'll happily judge middle-aged men who drive Ferraris (or wear Ferrari apparel).
BTW Tekton is also selling t-shirts… They are anthracite/ black.
I think Mr. Alexander posing with a red-Ferrari t-shirt next to his speaker is a sutle reminder he only cares about color: paint color… and sound color!
He just need to pose with a t-shirt that is way too small or way too large to confirm he does not care about measurements… :p

If you have a Ferrari you need these speakers is what I think he wants to convey.

(sorry if this has already been done) Plugs for these holes may be sold as an optional extra for extra money.

Will these work? JK

I think the dude has some sort of disorder. It's really shifted from scummy salesman trying to keep his customers ignorant, to the guy lives in some delusion that he may not have control over.
He clearly is a pathological narcissistic like a certain other infamous person who believes in "alternate facts" and behaves almost identically -- like a 4 year-old spoiled toddler that never heard the word "No". I wonder which of the two will have his narcissistic collapse first. They seem neck-and-neck and only days or weeks away.

I need to complement Amirm, ASR, and this forum community for the help I've received over the last month as I decided whether to upgrade my desktop audio system. This story is appropriate for this thread because I was saved from snake oil like EA's speakers by ASR.

This minute I'm sitting here (10 straight hours now) listening to my week old Revel M105's that were the last (non-white) pair left in the country. I'm using a WiiM Ultra for the preamp, DAC, headphone amp, streamer, Bluetooth receiver, DSP, and equalizer (whew). My amp is only a week old too -- a Aiyima A70. I picked each one of those after reading many dozens of reviews here on ASR (and EAC). The measurements convinced me they were likely to be better than anything I might "audition" or buy from a Hi-Fi store (where?) or Best Buy with all their tricks.

The fact that the subjective review of the M105s was also glowing didn't hurt but it was the numbers that swung it. I initiated the project to upgrade my computer desktop near-field set up after finally getting fed up with my Kanto K2s with their whopping 3.5" "woofer". I knew I'd be buying passives with an amplifier because I never liked the low power of the K2s or the sound of an active JBL monitor I used with amp modeling as a guitar amplifier. Go figure, it was very highly rated here but I hated it. Since these were meant for my desk, the physical size of the boxes and drivers therefore had on the smaller size (5-6"). Thank goodness the M106 rated just a tiny bit lower than the smaller M105. If the numbers say the M105 sounds better than the M106, why get the bigger and more expensive ones, right?

The first speakers I leaned toward were KEF Q150 but the more I read here, the more I was persuaded to step up to speakers with a preference score around 6.0. The KEF R3 would have worked but the used non-Meta copies I could afford on eBay had been beat to a pulp -- who dents every driver in their speakers and tears up the cabinets like that? I love that all the sellers claimed "works perfectly" when there is no chance they know that since they hadn't measured it. I'm going to assume that dents in an aluminum cone and dust cover are going to affect the sound. For $800 "as-is" I'm not taking your word for it Mr. eBay man.

I saved $400 to spend on the more expensive speakers by getting the Aiyima A70 rather the Hypex or Purifi I was originally leaning toward. The A70 is cheap but it is also state of the art thanks mostly to the Texas Instruments TPA3255 chipset and PCB reference design with PFFB. I just couldn't get excited about paying north of $600 for one PCB in a box 4-5 times too large when all of the "special sauce" or IP of those amps is matched by TI's design. My only concern with the amp is quality of the components and reliability, not the sound. It sounds just like what Amirm said it would -- like nothing. Oh, all of you, who like me, thought that the unusual aspect ratio of the A70 was "ugly" or goofy, turns out it grows on you very quickly, about the second you lift it out of the box. Now I think it's cute. A 200W/channel amp the size of a single brick. The WiiM Ultra "preamp" is 3 to 4 times larger than the amplifier -- the world is upside down.

Why tell you this? Because I'm loving what I'm hearing. Had I not known about ASR, I likely would have gotten "audiophooled" by someone like Eric Armstrong or I would have begun to doubt my ears and developed buyer's remorse. $1,200 speakers can be very buyer's remorse inducing but I am at peace because I have objective evidence that what I'm hearing really is blissful and not a placebo. None of the snake oil sellers got me, this time, and my ears haven't been this happy in 20 years.

P.S. I'm old with hearing aids so when I started my project to upgrade, part of what I had to learn was whether it was worth buying a better stereo given my ears. I learned that many of you in the same age bracket share my "affliction" but that hasn't stopped you from participating in this hobby. I may not hear much above 6 to 8 Khz but now I have a DSP and speakers that help, much better than my $5,000 (BOHICA) hearing aids. The news this week that Apple is seeking FDA approval AirPod Pros as hearing aids does not surprise me. Instead of sending my hearing aids back to the factory after only 2 years to have the battery replaced ($350) and the charger case ($500) replaced, I already discovered that AirPod Pros in "ambient awareness" mode and bright EQ works just as well, if not better. When the battery dies in these I can buy 20 pairs of AirPod Pro 3, 4, ... 20s and still come out cheaper than broken hearing aids. Thanks to an executive order, the requirement that you must get a prescription from an audiologist in order to buy hearing aids has been eliminated. There are going to be a lot of Eric Alexander types from Miracle Ear and the other 6 or 7 hearing aid companies trying to justify their 4000% premium over $100 headphones with freshly minted snake oil and magic dust. Too bad there isn't an executive order to that can shut down the audio grifter's business model too.

Probably meaningless, or more suited for the Call for Humor thread...

It looks like Tekton has a new speaker: https://tektondesign.com/product/sp...es-control-monitor-red-finish-5000-delivered/
View attachment 381454

For $5,000, it can act as a studio monitor "workhorse", an audiophile "dream", and a party "champ" and, most importantly, the feet are already installed! There is an "ultimate crossover" option for $1,600 (!!! What the...??? For that amount of money, I'd like to know what it is about for sure!).
It also has the usual tweeter array... and I wonder if the 4x 10" transducers qualify as a "woofer array" ??? :p

No trace of actual measurements... I wonder if Mr. Alexander bought himself a new Ferrari (see the T-shirt !!!) instead of investing in proper measurement equipment...
Oh and they finally erased the "Days without incident = 0" on the board behind the speaker: way to go Tekton !!!

Looks like a homemade PA set-up.

I see Tekton bashing is still popular on this forum.
You are dishing a speaker you have never seen or heard, not very scientific is it?
PS; what exactly is wrong with a woofer array if that's what it is?

Neither are those two things.
