On BF, it's listed as CDN$2782/ea, and with 10% discount it goes down to CDN$2504/ea (or US$1960/ea equivalent).
Which means US sale is 13% cheaper in US than here in Canada.
Not everything is cheaper in US though, since Canadian Genelecs are better value in Canada.

Picked up two of the JBL Sub 550Ps for $399 during the Black Friday special and they arrived today. Thankfully one was DOA as I was completely underwhelmed and would have felt guilty sending them back if they both worked.

So, was it because they're almost silent below 35Hz? I still like mine, and prefer them for music over my SB2000pro, but for movies, they just do a lot of moving without making any sound. They are very sensitive to room placement too.
Anyway, the monoilith subs are still on sale, and the 10" at $450 can do 91dB@15Hz according to CEA2010.

I confess I don't even know how to answer that... Maybe it's because I am used to a ported sub? After scoring a pair of Studio 570s, followed by a pair of 530s (thanks to ASR nonetheless), I was expecting nothing short of a bass rapture.

I wish Erin would have had the JBL 550 in his last round of subwoofer tests or at least some decent measurements somewhere. I think it sounds better than the other 200$ I have heard but it can’t hang with a Rythmik L12 for instance.
