In a 15 sqm room? This is insane.
Seems fine. People think big speakers overload a small room, which really isn't true, volume dial position overloads the room. Granted there's room modes and stuff to deal with, but if anything that setup is probably a testament to GLM if nothing else. Lol, pretty sure that that setup in 15 square meters alleviates any output capability concerns, that's for sure.

Is overkill really, but better to have to much than too little I guess, plus this system must be so under stressed that distortion is a complete non issue.

I which they put less filters on the pictures so we can see how it looks in real life. it almost looks like a render (well, technically part of it is rendered with all the filtering)

There's a few more images in the thread, for alternate exposures :).

The question is how well does it perform at low to mid-low volumes, anything else is launching a Gemini V rocket in that space, or and wear ear protection and take sea sickness pills to face the show. The 360 is not designed for low volume in small rooms. But yes, some guys monitor with it ...

The configuration seems just right to me. You might juge too quickly.

It is a high quality speaker setup, but as Genelec has pointed out, it is aimed especially at situations, where very high SPL is required. You can build a similarly great sounding Genelec setup at lower cost if You can accept a bit lower SPL.

Indeed, they wrote that they need high output, and it fits their needs. Moreover, horns are often preferred for movie mixing. Maybe I m wrong but i don't think genelc has other speakers with a CD.

Only others are their big guns 8381A and 1236A

Quick question if anyone has the answer:

Since the 8361A's dispersion is (a lot?) wider than the S360A's, will imaging be better (and sound more spacious), speaker more likely to "disappear", and changes in sound less apparent when you move around with the 8361A?

wider probably means more diffuse but spacious and with that yes "disappear"

Why don't all speakers have a wider dispersion?
Obviously you'd want a big sound stage and better imaging

If I am not mistaken, narrower dispersion allows for a longer throw. Better when you are at long distances.

Think of it as a flashlight. When you have a tight focus of the light, you can see a lot farther than when you have a diffuse or wide focus of the light.

flashlight yes ...or as energy being controlled by waveguide,

also in a recording environment you perhaps would like to have less sidewall reflections, but this is not definitive reason. Wider/narrower dispersion will blend with on-axis response and will have an effect (above ~1m./3f. distance) to ones ears...but eventually wider/narrower dispersion is preference.
