Eversolo DMP-10, new release 25 october

Adjusting my A8 rapidly now and no popping, I have also owned the Benchmark HPA4 again no popping.

In the A-8 each output can be individually configured as volume pass through .
Well, having the selection apply to individual outputs is better than having all of them set the same, but why didn't Eversolo make the pass-through selection per input (not output)? You'd almost need two separate amps to make the A10 work as a home theater bypass unit while also using it as a stereo preamp (with volume control) for other inputs. Am I not seeing something right?

Edit (2025-05-10): It's funny; I just noticed Google AI used this post of mine to say that the Eversolo DMP-A10 does have Home Theater Pass-Through , when what I actually meant to say is that it does NOT have this feature (at least not yet and currently NOT implemented in a useful manner). The fixed volume output setting for the pre-outs is much more appropriate for use as a Tape Loop (output to a tape recorder). Guess AI is not so smart after all :D.

That I can’t say, and this is the A-8 I haven’t received the A10 yet.

I have read DMP-A10 manual and it does support cutoff freuency and delay of subwoofer. Considering A8 was supproting the delay of L/R position, I believe A10 would be as well. But not sure if there is high pass filter for L/R. There wasn't not so much info on room correction.
When the subwoofer option is turned on, a high-pass filter corresponding to the cutoff frequency is applied to the L/R. But you can also switch to direct output full frequency signal for L/R.
Likewise, the subwoofer can be switched to direct output, without using a cutoff frequency. There's even a high-pass filter for the subwoofer, so you can choose all the combinations you want.

Guess mine was defective.

Anyhow, now happily using a Wiim Ultra with Topping A70 Pro as preamp. Both units 100% reliable and top-notch sound quality.

So this thing replaces my minidsp flex with sub out? Man if it wasn’t for the price..

Any forum members take the plunge on this yet? I'm looking for some real world user opinions to support an imminent buying decision between the DMP-A10 and the Node Icon.

My criteria:
  • Preamp/Streamer/Dac all in one
  • Automated room correction
  • Roon (yes I know you can do REW with this)
  • DSD (yes I know DSD is converted to PCM when room correction is enabled)
  • Impressive build quality
  • Long term usage - 10yrs+?
  • Subwoofer out
  • Ideally $4000 or less, but willing to stretch a little for the right thing
I think only the Icon and A10 do all of these things. I'm hoping to eventually see comparisons between the 2.

I'd also be interested in any other devices out there that meet all my criteria, that I might have missed

Close but no cigar:
  • NAD M66 - missing DSD altogether
  • Anthem STR Preamp - doesn't support Roon RAAT, punched steel construction
  • NAD 658 (w/DSD card) - punched steel construction
  • MiniDSP SHD - no DSD, punched steel

Not available in the U.K. at least quite yet, I expect very soon.

Btw I would have expected a SOTA headphone output for the price.
Or did I miss anything?

An M33 would also fit. You could even run it in preamp mode if the Purifis don't suit you.
