Eversolo DMP-10, new release 25 october

So this cost 3800€ and does not have a amplifier build in. Some crazy prices for streamers these days.

If I was in the market for a streamer, this dmp-10 would definitely be the one I would be looking at/buying. It's clearly a quantum leap above just about every other one out there.

Build quality is excellent, right up my alley.

Price is reasonable in my opinion for performance and flexibility. It's not a lot of money for a state of the art source such as it is.

Consider I paid AU$2800 for a SOTA CD player in 1990, 34 years ago. It's still working perfectly and apart from perhaps 3 sets of loading belts over three and a half decades, it's technically as good as the day it was made. So I got my money's worth. This streamer looks like the only thing that will hamstring it is Android/Apps down the track.

Which is the critical point, most streamers are too much money to spend on something that might be a door stop in only a few years. Do they guarantee to support the software for even 2 years?

We received our first A-6 almost two years ago, to their credit Eversolo do listen and improve their firmware, also reliability. and QC has been really excellent ( within my relatively small sample set).

Don't confuse the operating system used in smartphones with the one used in audio streamers. In smartphones it becomes obsolete when it does not guarantee a certain level of security, in streamers this problem does not exist. the updates that are released for streamers concern something else entirely.

PS there are much more expensive streamers around than Eversolo that have Android 6.0 on board!

Even Android phones that haven't gotten any updates in years can work just fine. I had a seven year old 1+5 that worked flawlessly without any updates for years until it broke on a rock just a month ago. Even older phones can work great spare a few apps that for unclear reasons need newer Android versions.

And when it comes to streamers my 2015 Nvidia Shield still runs great, I have even skipped the updates that came a couple of years ago since they started out buggy, but also since I don't see any need to update it.
I'm using that for Spotify, Youtube and Kodi (that plays both movies and music) and can also install so much more on it if Icd need to, which is something this Eversolo thing can't even do even though it costs around 50 times more than I payed for my Shield. So yeah, still don't see the point of this expensive status thing ;)

How is this different from the A8 , besides the styling?
A quick comparison of the specs reveals little differences..

Doubtful there will be any differences in sound quality.

Bk
ADC, so that EQ can be applied to analog inputs. Room EQ. Also stereo subs ( I think).

Will it be possible to have the digital and analog outputs be active (and variable) at the same time, I wonder?

And what would be the use if it were?

To support both digital output to active speakers and output to subwoofers at the same time for instance.

I find it a bit singular as a thing personally but all the ideas are absolutely legitimate.

Damn, DMP-A10 is still "15% worse than Rose 130 in imaging and 3D depth", so I cannot buy it now! :D

Does he have measurements for that 15%?

Complicated maths, bullshit squared.

It's not even a comparable product. The Rose 130 is not a DAC, let alone a preamp. So what, bitperfect digital output from two products sounds different?
