2.2 AirPlay Streamer and DAC with DSP EQ, eARC

I’m searching for a middle class Streamer+DAC with DSP equalization capabilities, HDMI eARC input, dual subwoofer output and 12v trigger out.

You have to raise up to 4000$ solutions to find something like that: Anthem STR, NAD M23, Eversolo A10… Is there anything else in the sub 2000$ range?

Some preamps have Pre-out outputs which can be used as subwoofer outputs. Eversolo A6 and A8 will be able to output XLR and RCA at the same time?

Now I’m using a MiniDSP Flex but I’d like to try something else with HDMI and CEC and a 12v trigger out. Flex HT could be a solution without streamer.

You can connect two subs using an RCA splitter:

Will the RCA splitter kill the stereo image?

Sub 100hz loses directionality but you are able to locate subwoofer position. When both subs share the same signal I assume you won’t be able to locate them.

The WiiM outputs a Mono subwoofer signal via its Sub out, either downmixed from the Stereo input or extracted from Dolby Digital surround input (LFE channel).

With an RCA splitter, the same Mono signal will be fed into each sub.

You can set the crossover frequency in the WiiM Home App between 30 and 250Hz, to avoid subwoofer localization.

Since the WiiM cannot apply different DSP to each Sub, it is beneficial to have basic phase control or DSP built into the subs themselves to aid integration.
