@ Jose - Hi, may I ask what you finally went for? Genelec, DD, Neumann?
Would be interesting to know your journey through that decision.
Best Regards

Hi there. Of course. What happened is that... well, the pandemic happened, and everything changed. :(

A french Kii representative kindly got in touch with me and offered me a demo, either at his place or at my place. I temporarily declined, because I wasn't ready at the time (not ready to be pressured I mean - I like to do things on my own terms), and because the whole Kii setup with the BXT extensions was definitely out of our budget.

I also got in touch with people at D&D (very nice people BTW), even had a long and interesting audio call with Martijn (their genius engineer). We agreed that I would come to their Rotterdam HQ for a demo and tour. Which was perfect for me because before the pandemic I had a yearly business trip close to Rotterdam. Unfortunately since then, such meetings got postponed and still are for the moment. But I will, that's for sure. Hopefully next year : that's not up to me to decide.

As for Genelec, Neumann and Buchardt, nothing has happened yet. Buchardt's "satisfied or refunded" 45-day trial period looks great though. Last time I spoke with D&D they were thinking about doing something similar.

The pandemic also changed our life plans : now we are preparing to move in a year or so. Which means that now may not be the best moment for such an investment. We are planning on finding a new location, buying some land and building a house. That will be the right moment.

Not to mention that we're currently fighting the Delta variant as we speak (despite the fact that we're fully vaccinated since may), so our ears may not be in their best shape right now anyway. This thing is a nightmare.

I don't see any reason (well I might but still) to confine your search to the ASR "usual suspects" (Genelec, DD, Neuman) when it comes to active speakers.
This German HiFi magazine does measurements and perhaps its "bestenliste" might be of interest to you. Close to the top of the page you can find google translate button:
https://www.hifitest.de/bestenliste/aktivlautsprecher_296

Of interest perhaps and relatively affordable:
https://www.hifitest.de/test/aktivlautsprecher/nubert-nupro_x-8000_16940
https://www.hifitest.de/test/aktivlautsprecher/canton-chrono_sl8_19999

I have a crush on these, not sure why:
https://www.hifitest.de/test/lautsprecher_surround/canton-smart_vento_9_-_40-set_16684-seite2

I would like to play with these, albeit a lot more expensive with "room measurement" :
https://www.hifitest.de/test/aktivlautsprecher/quadral-aurum_gamma_20341

I might be missing something but It seems all of these measure very well, and have nice feature set.
