New Wiim Amp pro just got launched at High-End Munich Show.

While Wiim Amp didn't look interesting to me that much, but new Wiim Amp Pro surely does.

+ TPA3255 PFFB
+ WiFi 6e
+ Bluetooth 5.3

DAC: 32-bit/384kHz ES9038Q2M

60w @8 ohms
120w @4 ohms

Expected availability: 3rd Quarter
Expected price: 369$ + tax

@Goddu Column names are reversed.

Room Correction is in beta right now but it is going to be auto. See here.

You really paid attention... thank you.

This is darned close to meeting the functionality my amp/streamer DIY project. One thing lacking (and I fully acknowledge typical mass-market consumer would not even know what to do with this) is using the DSP to perform (2-way) crossover, which would require an additional set of "speaker outs" and would mean speakers should be bi-amped (and remove the internal crossover). Seems like a VERY logical step to take and has the potential to offer superior sound quality, yes?

So few people would use this that it wouldn't be worth the cost of 2 extra amplifier channels etc. Essentially it would be a different multichannel product.

Even doing something in 'just software' has a cost but maybe it would be possible, if an internal Xover was implemented, to send the extra two channels to the digital output so we could connect an extra DAC+amp to that. It won't happen though.

I will be a buyer of the Amp Pro. Great for a simple system in a common area.

This little amp looks very interesting with built in streaming, DAC, room correction and improved SINAD. Only think missing is an EQ.

May be all someone listening at lower levels or with high efficiency speakers needs.

I think Wiim Amo Pro has graphic as well as parametric EQ, I only highlighted differences.

Any idea if better measurements can be expected for the analog input?
I would say - probably Yes, but no way to be sure without it being measured.
Its using PFFB, so should be better than previous one.... kind of similar to other TPA3255 PFFB amplifiers.

Viim always seems to be late with their DAC chip selection...
Last year it was ESS 9018K2M, and now they plan to use ESS 9038Q2M. The logical step would be to use the latest ESS 9039Q2M.

Or they can just use the standard AK4493S and enable DSD Direct if possible. It will be useful (or desirable) to someone.

But still great new highly versatile amp for similar price to Topping PA5 II Plus.
Count me interested (for updated V2/Mk.2 version). ;) :)

Now we're talking, looking promising.

That's what I do with a minidsp flex.

Maybe they choose slightly older chips to keep costs down? Although I'll readily admit I'm not sure how much it would actually save, but maybe the older chips are sitting gathering dust and Wiim are getting them for next to nothing?

Once we hoped for a 100 wpc for $500. Now, we have 120 wpc into 4 Ohms with room correction and streaming for about $370 US!
Are manufacturers of expensive "High End" electronics in their twilight days? One can only hope. I spent about $320+tax on a Yamaha CR 420 in 1978 or 1979. It couldn't touch this. Now, $320 in 1979 dollars would be how many 2024 dollars?
