An older older nokia tablet we have which does support usb otg which is helpful in connecting to dacs there was audio coming through but not terribly well at all and nothing in this older android version was helpful in improving the experience so I think the adage is YMMV.Hello,
Excuse my beginner's question. I received the 3D Pro. I have a question: can you connect a tablet to the USB-C port and stream from it? Will the audio quality be good?
Thanks for the suggestion.Hello, I have just received my d3 pro today. It is currently connected with a basic toslink cable to a Wiim pro and the sound is extremely good.Subjectively
, I can't ear any difference between the d3pro and a smsl dac+ncore252 combo.
I have a question and 3 remarks to @Alexander Lin . My question : What to do with the heatsink?
My remarks : 1) even if turning on the d3pro is quite straightforward, there was no owners manual in the package.
2) The GaN brick charger is black but the power cable is white (could it be black?).
3) To reduce the number of power cables would it be possible to design a GaN charger with some usb outs, 12V trigger, on/off switch and a led. Nothing fancy, but it would be handy.
Again, don't get me wrong with my remarks I am fully happy with my new (very little) toy and many thanks to the designer.
PS: I do recommend using banana connectors for the loudspeakers wires to prevent any short circuit. The amp is so small. View attachment 460672

Thank you very much for your advice.Hello Alexander,
Thank you for your answers.
Regarding the heatsink, it is quite an unesthetic solution and I found that the efficiency is not good (with or without heatsink the temperature of the box is above 40°C).
I have downloaded the user manual from this site and it is OK. I advise having the link printed somewhere on the box.
USB2 is a smart idea to feed a streamer and reduce the number of power cable, thank you for this.
In case you plan to sell a V2 I recommend considering : better thermal management, stereo jack instead of RCA for analogic in/out and LFE (space saving), safer speakon like connectors for loudspeakers (please provide the plugs)
Eventually d3pro is a good basis for a d5 with 2 tpa3255, trs balanced inputs, a nicer screen with vu meters, 3 usbc.
I will send one to Amirm this week.Me too, Alexander![]()
Amirm has received the package。Hi.
Indeed, Alexander seems to have forgotten his promises...![]()
