I have this system and I use my center SB25 in a horizontal orientation above my TV. My MLP is in line with the tweeter and it's fine, moving side to side there is a audible difference but it is subtle, I don't know if I have good enough ears to have noticed it without already knowing there is a off axis frequency response issue (and certainly none of my guests would ever notice). I don't think putting it vertically above or below the TV is a good idea because it's vertical dispersion is not good. If the speaker is above the TV and the tweeter not at ear level then all seats will be in vertical off axis nulls (I suppose you could use eq to boost those but I don't know if that's a good idea). I have this issue with my surrounds which are also SB25's, and are in a vertical orientation about two feet above ear level. All seats do not measure well with those speakers because all seats are in the vertical off axis nulls. In the horizontal position at least one seat will be in good shape.
If you are willing to tilt the center speaker down and point it at the listening area then you could use it in a vertical orientation and avoid that off axis null business.. In fact maybe I should do that..
