I also hesitated with that example ! ;)
But in the other hand, 99.9% (it's more 99.99%, seriously) of Danish people are not in Greenland.
Yeah. That and the fact that Kingdom of Denmark is not really a country in the sense Denmark or Russia is.

Son #1 worked for a couple of years just outside Dublin and on one trip to visit him we drove the Wild Atlantic Way from Westport to Kilkee. My word what a beautiful country.
Well, it's one big deforested paddock, but the coastal areas have its charm.

Spent a Semester at Case Western Reserve University. Loved every second of it. Loved the city, loved the bars, the campus and everything else. Have been to visit twice since. I might be the only European tourist who visits Cleveland voluntarily.

Europe is so small in the map
Nope. Geographically speaking, the Ural Mountains act as natural frontier between Europe and Asia.

Because it is ! ;) Africa should also be bigger in reality.

Well, also Russia looks much bigger on the map than it really is.

Updated international stats from the poll so far. In parentheses are ASR members

Africa: 1,216 million (5 ASR members)
Asia: 4,561 million (87 ASR members)
Europe: 746 million (735 ASR members)
North America: 579 million (512 ASR members)
South America: 423 million (20 ASR members)
Oceania: 46 million (67 ASR members)

Rank per continent (ASR members per million population):
1. Oceania 1.45
2. Europe 0.98
3. North America 0.88
4. South America 0.048
5. Asia 0.0044
6. Africa 0.0041

For the bottom 3 I would think that being mostly non-English speaking and low GDP per capita is contributing to the very low numbers.

That is for sure. Audio is still quite an expensive hobby.
Not with IEMs anymore. They bring hifi to the masses.

What lower GDP regions impact is on lack of good mass education to read English and understand all these strange graphs other than frequency response.

I think you do Stoke-on-Trent a disservice. Spitfire sculpture - built by the apprentices at a local metal component manufacturer. :)

The iconic WWII aircraft was designed by Reginald J. Mitchell, who was born and educated in North Staffordshire before becoming one of the greatest aeronautical engineers of his generation. (Text stolen from the website of the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery)

I actually liked the non-pretentious photo. And the weather looked like genuine British weather :)

I live in Dubai currently. And this is my new ride. Low HP but big tank. (my photo)

No, unfortunately I don't. I lived here 18 years. I can't wait to move out. Should happen soon.
Almost any place/city got its good and bad. Stoke is mostly bad.
