Neumann really needs to come out with a multichannel DSP sub. Multichannel MA 1 really does not work with their current range of monitors.
What do you mean? It works in my system.Multichannel MA 1 really does not work with their current range of monitors.
Ah to clarify- there aren't any full range DSP monitors currently available, so you have to use a sub(s), of which only the 750 (stereo) currently works. Buying 8 KH 750s is not practical, and I'm not sure it would even work with MA 1 currently. What do you mean? It works in my system.
This is possible. You set the desired sensitivity with MA 1 (e.g. 95db) and this is the volume that the loudspeaker outputs when the DAC volume is at 100%.Can users put an internal locked SPL limit on the Neumann KH 120 II's using the MA-1 software?
I plan on using a DAC with a digital volume control straight into the monitors, but I'm scared that the DAC's digital volume might crash (as mentioned here) and accidentally send a full volume signal into the monitors.
Basically, I want to limit the SPL to the highest I would ever comfortably listen at, just in case the DAC's volume control temporarily failed.
Perfect. Thanks for confirming. I have the KH 120 II monitors and the MA-1 still in the box, and just wanted to confirm before I buy a DAC with a digital volume control. This is possible. Just remeasure and write over the settings?Dear gods, since I have changed the usage space, how can I clear the previous calibration data in the dsp chip of the speaker for re-measurement and calibration?
You should be able to set the sensitivity also in network mode similar to the sensitivity switch on the back?Problem: In this mode (network) it plays far louder then in local mode. In local mode the led remains super bright.
The problem is, I am already on the lowest settings. Forgot to mention this.Just remeasure and write over the settings?

ma1 can setup the brightness of the logo.I solved it to use some tape with some blackout fabric to dimm the logo.
Not beautiful but works fine. All this LAN cable mess or Volume / DSP Problems for just dimming some lights is too much for me ;-D
I dont understand why everything now is Software based. The older Models also have some Dip Switches wich works perfectly

i know (i did it for the 150 long time ago), but i dont want to search again 4 LAN Cables to dimm the brightness for the 80´s. It doesnt worked last time i tried it for the KH80. For me, my method is okey. Specially for movies i want zero light sources. I can live with my method. Its faster and uncomplicatedma1 can setup the brightness of the logo.
