Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

The JBL paragon and Everest DD55000 have already been posted, but I’d like to add my voice to the ones that consider the cabinetry beautiful.

I personally love most of the higher end stuff JBL made back then. Attached are two pictures of the B460 18“ subwoofer as well as a picture of a L300 & 4430 that I found, for your further aesthetic consideration. That sub is incredible. I’d love to own one so bad, but it’s just so… unfeasible, economically. Space is a whole different issue.

There was also a smaller one -JBL B380 - but with decidedly worse optics.

I never understood the hype around huge horn speakers like those Klipsch Jubilees. The whole point of a horn is efficiency and high SPL, which you do not need in a residential environment.
They do look imposing though
it's (when done right) about directivity and low distortion because the driver is only used for a fraction of it's possibilities (headroom kinda like)

IIRC.......The primary industrial designer at JBL was Ken Ashcroft. In my way of thinking he set the bar for design that not only would not only provide performance but had a high WAF. Sadly lacking in many designs.

That’s too bad to have to actually consider earthquakes with whatever you buy!

Fortunately, not a problem for us in Toronto.
FEMA's seven-level earthquake hazard maps put the metro-DC area at the lowest risk level, yet the Washington National Cathedral is still recovering from damage experienced during the August 2011 'quake centered 90 miles /144 kilometers away in Virginia. Canada NRC's five-level map for Ontario puts Toronto's risk at a two, with the area between Niagra Falls and Hamilton at a three.

But as Frank Zappa said...

Also, the high efficiency and very very low back emf, makes Tube amps feasible.
Even single ended class A ones!

Talking about good sounding horn systems, the Blumenhofer Acoustics Gran Goia MK2.
Voted best of the show during the Iear audioshow in 2022.
(Although it sounded very good no passive speaker beats the KEF Blade Meta in my opinion) ;)
