Here is a better picture with actively controlled midrange driver from Backes & Müller and ion tweeter.

In the expansion stage it was called Phonogen Referenz and was rated very highly by the usual audio magazines.
I have never heard it.

This is a very narrow and non deep 2 kHz dip which will be almost inaudible, a typical BBC/presence/Goundry dip is usually rather around 2.5-3 kHz and wider.
