Looks like I have to read the manual then. Thanks.
100% sure? For the SHD the latency remains the same regardless of the use of Dirac for instance. That's not true. Well, possibly unless FIR filters are used I suppose.
miniDSP - dsp latency across the product line?
Would be great to understand the DSP latency across the different miniDSP models. I'm very much curious if a miniDSP product can control a sub/mid woofer up to...www.minidsp.com

If you check back you'll see my reply referred specifically (and only) to the 2x4 HD.100% sure? For the SHD the latency remains the same regardless of the use of Dirac for instance.
The SHD and DDRC-24 plugin approaches are the same aren't they - as in a button to launch the main Dirac Live application? Are they definitely different in terms of the latency impact of the units using Dirac?Definitely true for the 2X4HD and the DDRC-24, imagine the same is true of the Flex. A bit different than the SHD as Dirac uses a completely different plug in.

The best guess would be the the Flex would mirror the DDRC-24 situation I should think.
I agree that the Flex would mirror the 2X4HD behavior. I've measured the latency of the 2X4HD at around 2-3 ms.
I also think the DDRC-24 and the SHD have the same behavior of increased latency (20-30 ms IIRC) regardless of whether Dirac is engaged. Don't have the measurements handy right now but I'll test it when I have free time.
Michael
To be clear, I suspect a Flex without Dirac will behave like a 2x4 HD, and a Flex with Dirac will behave like a DDRC-24. I suspect you may think the same but I think your posts above may confuse some. (miniDSP's mixed naming approach isn't entirely helpful here.)
Have you ever tinkered with Home Assistant? It is a modern privacy-oriented smart home platform that can be run on a RPi. Integration with a Broadlink IR emitter or similar is great.Always a shame when functionality gets lost.
I was thinking of getting a infrared emitter diode for the RaspberryPi, i could replace all my remotes (7?) with a webpage with plenty of buttons or something.
Nice! I hadn't noticed they released a version 1.23 firmware update. It's nice to see both of the fixes they sent me are included here (Dirac and the firmware issue). I just checked and it's available for download on their site:FWIW, I just got my Flex balanced today, loaded with FW 1.23, plugin v1.21. Definitely still has IR learning capability. Reprogrammed it to my old Apple remote and everything is fine. Note, you can't learn/program the standby function.

Is that all of the potential commands? No direct input source?FWIW, I just got my Flex balanced today, loaded with FW 1.23, plugin v1.21. Definitely still has IR learning capability. Reprogrammed it to my old Apple remote and everything is fine. Note, you can't learn/program the standby function.

That is all that is available at the moment. I also don’t think you can disable inputs. Hopefully they add that feature. Is that all of the potential commands? No direct input source?
