As far as i can tell, B&W Nautilus and VividAudio Giya line works on that principle.

Interesting. I don't see a price or a white paper, yet.

If they managed to fix the mid-treble and get distortion down to Genelec 8030 levels, they have my attention.

I hope its going to be a bit smaller than the current LS50s but I dont think so. I really like the size of the KEF X300A on my desk.
The size will be identical with the older LS50

Anyone notice that the LS50 Wireless II has an HDMI input? You can see it in the pic. That's a nice feature.

That blue and gold matte finish is gorgeous. I'm tempted ask to review the passive model first just because it's so pretty.... (Edit: well, assuming it's exclusive to the passive model like some prior colorways).

KEF is announcing the use of a new sound absorption technology that can absorb 99% of the unwanted sound from the rear of driver.

Already on presale? J dragon beat me to it

OMG is that an hdmi ARC port on the back of the new LS50W ?
Take my money

I know it doesn't matter, but the LS50W II supports up to 32/384 and DSD256. Surprising that they would bother, given most active speakers cap at 24/96 or 24/192 at the very most.

It's still a thing for some people. Why, who knows? Are there even any 32/384 or DSD256 commercially available recordings? And will there ever be? And, if so, why?

Metamaterial must be unobtainum from Pandora...

Yeah, but it's rare to see format support to that degree in any active speaker, even those by boutique brands. I have seen those recordings before sold on specialist labels, but it's a vanishingly small selection that advertise it as a selling point in itself, making the artist's performance seem merely a means to an end.
