firstly and foremost i'll keep my JBL professional cinema they do fine , but really dolby labs now doing speakers for cinema and no bouncy speaker here strange ?

full spec down here but its just another glorified pa speaker , doesn't look JBL or maybe its EV or KCS or maybe it's actually Dolby ? i think they made comment decades ago not getting involved with amps or speakers as they only handled noise reduction and cinema processors , things change i guess ?

They have GLL files. @pierre can you put them onto your Spinorama website?
gll for moment i thought you meant gills like in mutation in water world

gll doesn't save i don't have the program store it , don't want gll reminds of mutation be interesting if dolby speaker can make the immersive storytelling actually feel the dimension of the gills

For a cinema speaker it looks very good.

Hi @GXAlan and @AndyLu,

Thank you for the link to this speakers. They look good. They do publish the GLL file for each speaker individually which does not help much.
They have a horn for mid-high frequencies (CS133MH) and a woofer (CS133HF). I joined the 2 measurements.
Here is a result of alpha quality since I hacked it in less than 1h. It is a very high output system with the typical directivity of a horn.

Here is the spin for your enjoyment. I will check the result when I have more time.

EDIT (B) 20230531: looks better
EDIT (A) 20230531: found some errors, still not convinced it is 100% correct. Horizontals should be better.

How expensive are cinema speakers like this one? 10,000€? 100,000€?

They had been doing electronics for a while now. WayBack Machine has an entry since September 2021 showing this speaker and the multi-channel amplifier.

No idea. A JBL Professional "equivalent" with dual 15" woofers is ~4300€ so I imagine that the Dolby speaker has to be in that same range?

@aliqaz -- maybe one of these for your room and then spending another $5K to have a local woodworker build some sort of Vandersteen-like acoustically transparent speaker grilles that will make it look nicer?

Not a bad deal if it’s below $10K.
The measurements look pretty good and they can reach crazy high SPL.
Their sub also looks very promising:

Dolby bought the loudspeaker company SLS about a decade ago.

Interestingly, this speaker uses standard compression drivers instead of the planars that were SLS's calling card.
