Denon AVR-X6800H now released.

Not anymore back to $3500
<sob> yes, there was a lovely discount near me to the end of June too, but the Director of Budgets quite rightly asserted that it was not the right time to spend!

I just happened to be on the B&H website around this same time and noticed they had the same offer, which was expiring later that same day (and it did). I jumped on it!
Did you get it though? If so, congrats, that's a good deal!

You guys aren't buying enough Denon and Marantz toys.

MASI - Non-healthcare revenue (that's the old SoundUnited) revised to be approximately $152 million, representing a 13% decline on a reported basis and an 11% decline on a constant currency basis from prior year. MASI stock getting hit.

You can only hold off recession for so long! Hope my toys work forever! ;)

I'm doing my part! Recently purchased the 6800h, next up is the Marantz CD6007 to improve my CD listening capability...watching for a sale.

Does anyone here know if the Harmony One universal remote will work with the 6800? It appears that the 4800 is supported, perhaps using that model number would give me functionality?

Yes it does, I've been using my Harmony Elite with it no problem (I believe it was the commands for the 4800H I added).

PSA. There's a lightning deal on Prime right now for $2400. Just bought it.

$2625 at Best Buy for next couple days as well it seems. Probably in response to competition from Prime Day.

Nice to see this thing coming down to a more reasonable price level.

It's now expired! Congrats!

My guess is it will return. I literally just thought to check, for the first time in days, and it happened to be there. That probably wasn't a lucky fluke. Regardless, the price at BB is now quite good too.

You got it on Prime Day (aka summer Black Friday). LOL!

New to the forum here and I must say, I read this thread page by page. Wow some of the tech stuff blows me away! I consider myself fairly informed in the AVR world though my recent purchase of this X6800H is my first foray into ‘high end’ AVRs… if this model is even considered high end.

I jumped on the ‘prime’ deal yesterday for $2399 from the third party seller ‘electronics expo’ from New Jersey. I called Denon to confirm there are an official store with full warranty support, as I much rather buy from an official source, direct from Denon, or even amazon direct. Fortunately Denon confirmed ‘electronics expo’ is an official retailer of theirs!

Yesterday the pricing was wonky. Amazon officially had their price set to $2499 and around noon they increased the price to $2624, meanwhile the third party seller undercut them to $2399 and jumped on that deal. I am of course having second thoughts with the purchase due to the expense and the ‘need’ for the upgrade (currently use an X1400H). I’ll follow up with another post with my specific questions, as this is my first post here on this forum.

Here’s an odd update. There’s definitely a game being played with this AVR. I’m watching the price live today on amazon. It’s constantly changing every 10 minutes. Today’s price is cheaper than yesterdays ‘prime day deal’. Now the third party seller is changing the price over and over to undercut amazon. amazon’s price is ranging from $2,359 to $2,424. Currently electronics expo is selling it for $2,324.

This is super fishy to me. It this REALLY a $3500 AVR? Or is it actually a $2500 or less AVR?
