Hart Audio Cables has 15 percent off their TC line of interconnects (not just XLR, I saw 4.4mm, RCA, etc.).

The emails says it gets applied at checkout automatically.

Music Direct 15% off sale will end tomorrow. Site wide all products, new/used/OB/customer return

I see a few decent deals with open box items and seems like they are dumping all that digital vinyl for roughly 50% off, not including the 15%. For any vinyl heads out there cool with not truly analog records.

Promo code above

I spotted this on eBay and makes for a good combination

Sennheiser Drop HD6xx used without cables $99 with free shipping. They have 12+ of them for sale.

Faaeal balanced 4.4mm cables for Sennheiser for $15.99 (I've gotten several of these and they're nice)

Youkamoo Sennheiser XLR 6.6ft balanced cables $23.99 (I've gotten many of these too, work terrific)

For $125 you can put together a balanced HD6xx. We have one of them on the SMSL M300SE downstairs with the 4.4mm cable and sounds great.

Also Topping DX3 Pro+ for $100 used from Hificollege (everything I get there works 100 percent on their used stuff)

Adorama is now quietly cancelling our orders placed last month for the Utopia 2022. Not even notifying customers. Anyone here with a legal background that would know if we have a way of making them keep their side of the deal? Bait and switch, online fraud! They had initially confirmed my order, and Focal did confirm they remain an authorized dealer and that they should be getting stock soon.

I'm not sure including specific terms would allow them to commit online bait and switch fraud, regardless of how they word it. Here's the definition of bait and switch according to Consumer Reports:
• If the seller does not intend to sell you the “bait,” and does any of the following in the course of selling other merchandise, then it’s probably the “bait and switch”:
  • Disparages the bait or its warranty, credit terms, availability of service, repairs or parts.
  • Employs compensation methods that discourage or penalize sales people for selling the bait.
  • Refuses to take orders for the bait.
  • Refuses to make delivery of the bait within a reasonable time period.
  • Shows you a broken or defective product.
  • Fails to meet anticipated demand for the bait without disclosing the bait’s limited availability in the ad.
  • Fails to stock all outlets with the bait in the quantity specified in the ad.
BTW I had actually contacted Focal who confirmed Adorama remains an authorized dealer and that they should be getting their stock of Utopia 2022s soon.

Not cool (and probably not legal or smart customer service either)...

They cancelled the order after confirming with me that I would wait for the item (without even notifying me) and with an alleged excuse of not having enough stock even though Focal confirmed they are getting stock soon. While giving me the option to re-purchase the item at a much higher price!

This happened on Amazon a few times where they just either cancelled an order, or kept me waiting for 3 weeks before saying it was cancelled. If they do a full refund, they just risk a person willing to spend that kind of money never having anything to do with them again. Also the Internet of them posting about it and 30 other people being put off when they could buy somewhere else. If they didn't get a shipment in, they should offer a backorder for the same price at least. The fallout from cancelling and then raising the price up has consequences for any business. It's not like a legal contract, where at auction you are obligated though. It's just the way to get a bad reputation and lose customer loyalty. I would have sent out coupons or vouchers for that same price, or treated them like a pre-order to give priority on the new shipment.

Its not Bait and Switch. B&S requires a "Switch". That is they purposely bring you in on one item which they then disparage, or do not have for sale, specifically in order to pressure you to "Switch" to another higher profit item.
Did Adorama contact you to pressure you to buy something else instead? They are not known for that.

If they screwed up, that is, if they had an offering that was priced incorrectly by mistake, or if they were not able to get stock at the price Focal had promised them, then its not B&S. I do not know the laws where Adorama is, but in most states if they did not actually charge the full amount to your card before the cancellation, I do not think there is any legal recourse.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't be upset. I would be angry too.

Side Note: I worked for a dealer that was a B & Switch specialist in the 70s. Not a JBL dealer, we had 1 beat up pair of JBL 100 speakers on display which we had modified so as to sound like crap. They were advertised in the paper every week, and the rule was that if you sold them, you had to go out and buy the store another pair. We switched customers to "Ultralinear" speakers, which looked very similar, but cost us practically nothing. That was illegal for sure.

It’s not right man, but to be honest I feel like no one got that deal and everyone got canceled. That was just plain stupid, at first I thought it was the older version than I saw it was the new one. Really made no sense, I’m sorry you’re disappointed and i wish you got it but when some things are too good to be true anything is possible.

A long while ago I remember there was a sale on the ifi signature amp for like 1200 and it’s like 3k brand new. Previous gen not the newest one and they did the same bs. Can’t recall the retailer

I too was going to purchase it but I’m on a strict no audio until September. I’m spending way too much on audio

*Also note if that sale never pops up again for sure no one got it and it was an error.

Used $382

Monolith Liquid Platinum Balanced Limited Edition DAC

Best price on the MKII I've seen in a while.

The two I got were the AK4499eq version, the slow rolloff filter was actually effective with bright headphones up to a point. It doesn't have a USB driver, but ASIO4All worked like a charm. I had two of the stacks, since they're such a behemoth there's few amps big enough to stack them with :) The Drop THX 789 might be able to squeeze one on top of it...

I have two of the LP amps, unfortunately still haven’t got around to using the dac even though I purchased it at the end of last year o.o

Drop has the Qudelix-5K on pre-order for $89 HERE. Good price for a well reviewed piece of kit.
Only problem is that it's not gonna ship until late November, and there has to be a minimum amount ordered, too.
For another $20, I can have it tomorrow from Amazon. But, if you don't mind waiting, ;).
