What did they think:
  • No pre-out/main-in loop
  • No rec-select
  • You can stick YPAO where the sun doesn't shine
  • Half silver aluminium, half black plastic, that will age well
  • No XLR
Redeeming features:
  • Variable loudness
  • HDMI input
  • Based on A-S1200 instead of A-S801

Indeed, as well as modest power for the price. At least they contoured the "microphone" to fit in where the sun doesn't shine lol
 
If I had the money to buy one of these one of the first things I would so is screw off the side panels and have a woodworker make some walnut side panels.

I really likes how this looks. $3500 might be a bit rich for my blood but I love the Oled panel in the black bar. It looks relatively high-res.

Kind of like an upscale Technics SU-G700 with more ports on the back.
