Sadlly it has some issues to be solved.
For now using wiim pro with googel assystent is inconwinient.

I think it could be fix throught software update.
Any one knows if wiim is pocessing any software update?

I do with opt input and coax output but I guess it will work no matter the output you use (or the input)

Good day from Germany,
I do not know why it is not longer possible for me to choose the ethernet connection. The software offers only wi-fi. Cable is fixed, Fritzbox is on and shows the LAN connection and till yesterday it worked without any issue. Any ideas?

Does it allow you to disable WiFi in the Network Status menu item?

It's only a sensation.

There is no difference between optical and coax as far as sound quality goes - except that optical has a better chance to break ground loops if they exist.

$150 expensive? Have you priced a HiFi Rose streamer?

It’s different. Should compare it to Blusound Node which still need apps to be installed on ipad Pro 12.9, $1000 price added to $150 Wiim.

Hey gang, got a question about the led status light on the Pro. I like it set to "off", but on my newly acquired Pro it randomly turns back on, and then the "status light" switch doesn't work, and I can't turn it off. Only rebooting turns it off, but then the problem reoccurs once the unit is turned back on.
Anyone else have this issue? I can also send a ticket in to WiiM, but wanted to ask here first.
I have the latest firmware from April 6.

If it hadn't been working previously I would have thought it could be the firmware version: my early one didn't enable me to disable wifi and rely on the Ethernet connection but that was fixed by a firmware release a few releases ago. Have you tried factory reset and start afresh?

Sometimes things seem to be so simple...cutting off power supply and reconnecting again: Problem solved! Don't ask me why
