Carl, I only watch movies occasionally for distraction, some kind of art entertainment for the senses...visual and aural. Some docs for the brain, the education, the knowledge.
Opera music is what turns me on, my mojo. Emotions are my thing.
...And tango...music and dance.
I like what stimulates the senses and the human emotional chords; in all form, shape and space.
I like comedies too, orchestral manoeuvres and Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Mozart.
And some of my favorite films are 'The Kid' (1921), 'The Gold Rush' (1925), 'City Lights' (1931) and 'Modern Times' (1936).
For Documentaries, 'Man on Wire' (2008), 'Mountain' (2017), 'The Dawn Wall' (2017) and 'Free Solo' (2018).
For a world tour with music, 'Baraka' (1992) and 'Samsara' (2011).
I'm an artist, I created forests all my life...I built them with my two hands climbing their sacred grounds with my two legs. We like what we like, we do what we like. I like mountains of music among the trees of the forests. It's the film of my life, real life.
You should check out 'The Invisible Man' (2020) if you like things, people who you cannot see ... to see if you can't (can).
