The kit we bought, our current setups

Thanks! That's cotton plaster wall coating (Baumwollputz). Gives the wall some structure (which you cannot see in the pictures because of my photo skills and smartphone camera quality ...). It's also said to improve RT60 but I'm not sure if that's true. The back wall is white with small silver glitter particles which subtly reflect the evening/night light. It's very easy to apply. Just add water, wait several hours and spread it on the wall. For removal spray it with water and scrape it off.

Thanks again for responding, I figured it was something a bit more unusual and wondered if it had any dampening qualities.
Looks good in any case. ;)

Dali Oberon 7 in light oak, for the cabin setup.

love the cabin
i'd be cautious with placing the speakers too close to the fireplace, i owned (and seen others have the same problems) a few pairs of Dali's which had issues with delaminating vinyl due to heat, even just from sunlight and being to close to a window

Thx, good advice. The fireplace/oven actually does not get as hot as you would assume, and the right speaker is +1m from the source of heat. I am actually more worried about the Eversolo and Nord which are right next to the «heated» corner of the fireplace.

Default everyday signal path: All sources run through Parasound P6 halo preamp followed by a EMOTIVA Basx A-300 to power the speakers.
Speakers are B&W 805.
Headphones are AKG K1000.

Multichoice signal path: All sources run through Parasound P6 halo preamp followed by:
1. EMOTIVA Basx A-300 poweramp - fed by Parasound RCA output
2. FOSI ZA3 class D amp - fed by Parasound XLR output

The XLR output of the Parasound pre is run through an IK audio ARC STUDIO room correction unit (that can be bypassed) and the XLR is then split into 2 signals.
One for the FOSI ZA3 class D amp and one into a patchbay for connecting active speakers if wanted/needed.

The RCA output is run directly to the EMOTIVA Basx A-300 poweramp.

Output from both power amps run through a FOSI LC30 Amp/Speaker switch - result: both power amps can feed both the B&W 805 speakers and the AKG K1000 headphones.

Rest is as follows
Sources:
TTs:
1. Thorens TD 1601 with ortofon 2M Black LVB 250 pick-up
2. Audio Technica AT-LP140XP Black with several different carts in AT-HS6 headshells.
Both TTs into this Riaa: Phono Box DS3 B True Balanced.
CD: Marantz CD6007 coax into parasound
Tuner: Argon Stream 3 optical into parasound (FM, DAB, Internetradio, spotify)
TV optical ind i parasound
PC sound goes to USB input on the Parasound.

Seems like I'm having (some) bad luck recently. Bought a used RME ADI-2DAC which was as new but didn't work because of a defective power supply. The seller quickly provided a replacement, so I am happy with that as it's the newest version of the unit and cost only 625 Euro.
But then there was a very cheap (I now know, too cheap! :() Sennheiser HD 800 s on eBay that was advertised as new. I didn't even open the original packing (as it was clearly used) and immediately initiated the purchase return process. Luckily didn't have to pay anything yet. Unfortunately, the outer packaging was (once again) very carelessly done. The “packaging skills” (more like package rape) of some people are truly disturbing. Now I'm hoping for a Black Friday deal.

The amp was getting lonely, but fortunately, Santa brought company early!

Currently configured in HT passthrough as well as driving the MC phono stage on my turntable. It's configured with the McIntosh DAC2 module, so I'm excited to add some digital sources soon!
