Hey guys,
Just wondering what you think of Genelec 8330a's with sam kit ($3000 aud) vs the newer Neumann's ($3600 aud with M1) and if the Neumann's being a newer speaker is worth the jump in price.
There is also the Neumann kh80's at just $2000 but I saw the more expensive 5 inch monitors as a more worthwhile investment.
The money is significant but it's such a big purchase if they are superior and will last me potentially longer then I think it is worth it.
I live in an apartment and have made efforts to treat my room but it is far from ideal.
Appreciate advice in advance. Cheers!

If you are staying at a Stereo-System, with maybe a subwoofer later on, I think it's just a matter of taste, you can not go wrong either way. KH120 II just by the numbers seem a bit better.

Genelec has the advantage of the bigger eco-system, especially if you want to venture into (for example) multichannel later.

That's odd, the Neumanns are slightly cheaper than the Genelecs here in the UK.

Also, if you are planning on adding a subwoofer later, you might want to check on the prices of those from each manufacturer, if you want to stay within a single brands ecosystem.

Hmm ok yeah I'm definetely in it for the long run so the eco-system is something to consider. Thanks mate

True that is odd!
Yeah thanks for that. I've had a look and seems like the SAM genelec sub is a better deal then that of Neumann.
