Same as the beer thread, but for the hard stuff.

Currently going down very nicely, with it's accompaniment.

Saturday night, milk and Kahlúa ...

Call it a White Russian Lite.

Currently I'm finishing off a bottle of Talisker 57° North, which does have the gimmick of being 57% ABV to match the latitude of the distillery on the Isle of Skye. Thankfully, this gimmick also means it's at cask strength (or only very slightly less), so there's an abundance of flavor and wonderful peppery Talisker character.

I'm not usually too big on non age statement whiskys, but this is a good 'un.

I have a few other bottles I'm currently nipping at, including a peated Bunnahabhain that just knocks the socks off everything else with how ridiculously gigantically bold and rich it is, certainly not for the faint-hearted. Fittingly, it is titled "Pirate Ships Are Burning".

The next big thing will be the Scotch Malt Whisky Society advent calendar, which I've just ordered :)

Bulliet bourbon holds up to ice. Four Roses Small Batch near or with a cube.

I like higher rye bourbons.

I like Bulliet Rye. It's 95% rye which gives it a distinctive taste.
