It's high time to start a weed thread.
What do you vaporize / smoke?

Remexian 30/1 PRT TFT

THC: 30%
CBD: 1%

Effect: Euphoric, focused, creative

Genetics:
Remexian 30/1 PRT TFT with the Think Fast cultivar is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain created by crossing Think Different and Power Plant. This genetic combination gives the strain its unique fruity and powerful characteristics, making it attractive to medicinal users.

Aroma & Taste:
Think Fast is known for its intense aroma, which combines refreshing citrus notes and spicy pine scents with earthy nuances, a hint of garlic, and a soft creamy base.

Haha, nice idea for a thread.

For my part it's mostly whatever sativa-forward stuff that's on sale at the dispo with a reasonable THC rating. I typically use an Airizer dry herb vaporizer with the hope of dodging whatever nasty stuff ends up in concentrates.

I have never found that the strain made a real difference in the experience. As far as I know the science is still out on whether the entourage effect of terpenes in terms of psychoactive effects is real. CBD itself has almost zero effect on me, I have puffed away at a CBD vape like mad many times, and not felt any different in any way.

What's more interesting is I've recently come across a few THC-V products, namely some mints. I would describe the effects of THC-V as almost the opposite of D9-THC... less hungry, more awake, not "stoned" as you normally think of it, at all. I have a hunch that small amounts of naturally occurring THC-V are behind the reputations of "upper" strains like Durban Poison or Green Crack.

Almost exclusively edibles over here, Eupohoria Extractions - Shatter Chews (Sativa) have been my preferred choice for years. Canada btw.
Back when I was still buying bud I was having an increasingly difficult time finding true balanced strains, it seems like everything started skewing heavily sativa dominated (or just pure CBD for the medicinal crowd). As a weekend stoner it sucks to buy an ounce of something you don't really love the effects of, cause it would take months to get through.

I'm 70 and after observing mates at the same age who have smoked weed since 16. They are now paranoid, depressed, lack energy, motivation mostly single. Whether they had mental health issues before they certainly have them now. My own son 35 is the same currently unemployed after moving onto Meth. I use to smoke weed in the 70's and 80's.

Now I can not condone this practice or blog. As a secondary teacher I could easily recognise kids who smoked weed who under achieved mostly.

About all weed is good for today, is by removing the THC and using as a health treatment.

In terms of music it does enhance the experience to a point but detail is reduced somewhat foggy. This is subjective not sure how one would measure this!!

Overall its much preferable to listen with a clear mind.

I also clearly prefer Sativa dominance.
Combined with a vaporizer at around 180 degrees Celsius, I experience absolutely no couch-lock and feel clear and focused.

Only smoke occasionally these days, have a bit of Ghost Vapor flower on hand at the moment. Usually edibles for the most part (Wyld gummies or make my own chocolates with RSO), and usually have a resin cartridge on hand.

The only time I tried CBD edibles I overdosed. I will never do that again. I thought I was dying. Last time I listen to some druggies telling me it is OK. But I lived and learned. Don't eat a lot of edibles when you have no tolerance.....

certainly anything can be misused, I think the crowd pushing "non-addictive and completely harmless" around the time of legalization did some harm. it should be openly acknowledged it is, or can be, as dangerous as other vices.
However, just as some people can enjoy a glass of wine with a nice meal, or beer among friends, (in my opinion) the same can go for weed too.

I'm sorry you were misled, that sounds like an awful experience.

Never tried a primarily cbd edible....sort of a why bother thing for me....

It kicked my butt. I was not feeling good enough to make it to the emergency room or I would have gone. I felt pretty stupid for listening to some life long druggies. A moment of weakness wanting something for pain. I paid big time. I am so afraid of the stuff I will never get near it again. I'd rather burglarize a pharmacy for good opioids then try edibles again.

Agree, I think use of anything enjoyable or pleasurable (not just 'substances', but say social media, clipping coupons, you name it) can take on the character of a destructive addiction, even if cannabis isn't "physically" addictive. And it's not as if habitually using cannabis has no effect on your brain.

Advice I'd give other people? Maybe try it if you're curious and want to have a nice time listening to music, or explore new vistas of hunger for pizza. I would never suggest anyone make a habit of it. There is always a chance you find it becomes a habit that is hard to put down.

Are you sure it was pure CBD, or was it CBD / THC? I've anecdotally heard of people having strong effects from lots of CBD but I don't know much about that.

A lot of people get put on their butts by THC edibles, and I think the susceptibility varies a great deal. Anecdotally, a friend of mine likes to smoke a little, but edibles have absolutely zero effect on him. His tolerance is not remarkable otherwise. Another friend is very sensitive to edibles and takes about 1/5 as much as I do for similar effects.

If you are in the latter camp and took what a "druggie" typically takes, I can imagine it was pretty terrible.

If anyone is thinking about trying "a gummy" sometime, start SLOW. 2.5mg at first if you've never tried anything, and WAIT before taking more.

Is this you?

Interesting. I do use some edibles that have a 1:1 THC:CBD but don't feel a difference with the all or primarily THC ones. Edibles can kick butt if you're not accustomed to them, tho in my case it is THC dependent rather than CBD. What were your life long druggies particularly "using"?

Of course, cannabis should also be used responsibly, but the comparison to alcohol is flawed.
Alcohol-related deaths in Germany 2021: 47,500. Cannabis-related deaths (regardless of year): 0.

I smoke very rarely nowadays, also I vape now to save my lungs which aren't used to smoke anymore, but back in the days i was mixing it with tobacco the european way.
Old classic strains I'll always put up there as my favorites would be Orange Bud and White Widow, because they remind me of the good old days.

If you limit yourself to immediate deaths caused, sure. I think we can all agree there are some harmful things in the world that tend not to manifest this way.

Yeahhh well, there's more tar in weed than in tobacco, so not really healthy if you smoke it, there must have been some deaths due to that. Vape is way better in this respect and edibles are the healthiest. Also it's a psychotrop, it can't be totally neutral in terms of brain health.
