Speaka USB DAC and Headphone Amp Dongle Review

no hum and just harmonics? this is actually fairly usable for when you friend asks can I do x thing for convenience when x thing would require 4 separate stereo dacs...

(don't ask)

Not true. Listen to a DAC with an ESS Sabre chip and one with a Burr-Brown chip on the same cans and tell me they sound the same. They don't. I've A/B tested a DAC with an ESS Sabre and a hip-dac with a Burr-Brown, and the difference is recognizable.
sabre have the same measured bump over and over. I have no familiarity with burr browns, but as long as the 2 are not the same I can 100% believe that

Surely, I'm a bit late to the party, but I bought one, now sold under the name "Renkforce" instead of "Speaka". It works fine on a PC, even on an iPad with USB-C port. On the USB audio output of the Wiim amp the volume with an HD 650 ranges between "silent" and "way too quiet". Any ideas what could lead to this behaviour (and whether there's a fix for that)?
