[New] Focal Diva Utopia

Do you see what I see: plastic body decorated with pressed (artificial) wool panels? Where did these $35000 go? Also remember that with all their digital technology they will become unrepairable in less than 10 (if lucky) or even 5 years. Their values will be close to zero after that - just look at 10 years old flagship AVRs! Divide $35000 by 10 year - you will spend $3500/ year, each year to enjoy them.
$10/day seems fair *if* it provides you all the audio joy you need in life.

That said, I agree that it doesn’t look nice enough in pictures to justify its price. The only active speakers I bought after a lot of thought and consideration is Meyer Sound since they have established a good track record of supporting out of production products and are built for commercial use.

Looks pretty flat to me:

It is frustrating that they do measure stuff and never release even basic data.

P.S.: around 1.50 we also see an anechoic chamber with a mic array.

I posted the screenshot since the YT preview is inconsistent depending on the browser.

It looks pretty good.

I was here this afternoon, yeah it was great ! Very impressed too

Really like the Genelec 7.1 set up with the 8361 w GLM, this thing slap so much !

And the Cabasse The Pearl Pellegrina, the kick and low end is awesome, lot of power and dynamics

Sorry it's not the subject here
Did you compare the Genelecs to the Focals?

I am surprised they don’t offer XLR inputs just from the standpoint of avoiding ground loops and nice locking connectors even if you don’t need the balanced connections.

In the home hifi industry
Nice looking is much more important than nice locking
