A few photos and impressions from some setups.

I’ll start with the new arrival, the Kii Seven. These little "firecrackers" are something! They fall into that category of speakers where the main effect is "so small, yet so powerful," and they really deliver on that. They played loud, punchy, precise, and clean—overall, they seem like a fantastic solution for a small room. The wow factor in this form factor is definitely there.

D&D—no questions here; everything sounded smooth and right. This time they were in a smaller room than last year, and I think that worked in their favor. They filled the space with sound effortlessly, sounding dynamic and free.

Genelecs

In this setup, the main trick was switching between the small and large monitors. Presenter caught newcomers off guard by asking, “Which ones are playing right now?” The small ones plus a little subwoofer were always "on" during that moment, convincingly mimicking a big sound :) To my ear, though, there’s still no miracle happening; the larger ones are noticeably clearer in the lower midrange and overall much more convincing (at a similar volume level). This wasn’t a blind test—I knew the rules of the game, yes :)

And the highlight of the show: 8381A. Now that’s something I really liked :) Damn, it just sounds right in every sense and at any volume level (we didn’t push it to the limit, even when they play a piece of track really loud, at a pretty scary level, there was still 15 dB left). It’s tough to describe; they sound like the right monitors that can handle anything.

As a funny aside, in both rooms with Genelec, they used room correction, which they’d occasionally turn off to demonstrate how it sounds without it. The bass would start to rumble, thump, shake the walls, and just do its own thing, but every time, there was someone in the room saying, “Oh, well this sounds better!”

But the sizes… My fridge (which isn’t very big, but still) is just slightly larger than each of the speakers. And then there’s the rack with amplifiers...

Focal Carpet-Utopia. Overall, I could admit this is decent sound for mid-sized floorstanding speakers, especially being active… But for that kind of money—it’s just strange. And definitely not neutral.

Another heavyweight from the high-end world, Sonus Faber. It was very loud, and at that volume, pretty clean. But the bass without EQ? That’s pure evil. Still, in the Genelec rooms, I met a few guys who definitely would liked it.

Avantgarde plus Kondo. The music selection was hilariously random, but overall pretty cool. Funny enough, the presenter mentioned that with every Kondo amplifier, even the most basic one (I’m scared to find out the price), the manufacturer includes a KONDO POWER CABLE in the box! Incredible generosity!

And here are a few more shots of some high-end gear:

WoW! That show looks wonderful. Very nice merchandising/displays, mood lighting, nice arrangements and nice product too... :D
The Warsaw show is really good, I took photos of maybe a third or a quarter of the sets, and a lot of rooms with really high quality sound.

I went to the CES in Vegas for several years running and the Warsaw show looks better.

I like the design of those cube speakers. How do they sound?
Overall very good for a full-range speaker. I've listened to their speakers many times at past shows, and they generally played good as well. Probably the best single driver speakers I've listened to. But I didn't stay in that room too long to discover the flaws, I think they're in there :) All in all, it's still not my cup of tea.

I was in Sobieski only so far, so can't say much, but it was interesting. Tomorrow I'll be at the stadium for the main part. The sound in Sobieski was mostly bad, but those Kii Sevens were definitely one of the best. I didn't like 8381 at all, and I'm 8351A+W371A owner so I should be somewhat familiar with them. I think the room was just too small for a 6kW per side speaker, I like my setup way more, or maybe I should say I like my room way more? Anyway so far highlights for me were Qualio and Kii's. What I loved though was the amount of visitors, it was really nice to see so many people interested in hifi and music

Yeah, it's too small a room for these speakers. Personally, I try to abstract from such things as much as I can, strengths and weaknesses are still audible, and you can't expect something perfect in a hotel room with a set-up that was installed in one evening. I wish they had rented a bigger hall.

Oh, there were "no people" in the hotels today :) There will be a lot more traffic this weekend, if possible it's worth going to the stadium by opening time so it won't be too crowded.

Right, but I'm sure they didn't further refine the response after the calibration. It's similar in my monitors, GLM flatten the response to a flat target and leaves the overall tilt to the user. Without the low shelf they'll obviously lack something, I use +3dB below 200Hz and it makes massive difference. I saw the response they measured and it was flat, no major dips other than a literal hole between 50-60Hz in the left speaker, it didn't even fit in the graph.

Kii Sevens are amazing for their size. But they start to cost almost 10k if you consider stands plus the Kii control.

I didn't even ask the price... Well, then the price for the Focals looks more "adequate"
Yes I considered them. But if you look at the price, I think you can better collect some more money and get the Kii Three (or D&D 8c).

Yes, the tuning was flat and that's what it sounded like.

And how difficult and time consuming is it to do a room curve correction? I don't know if I'll get to the hotel again to listen to the setup, if I'm there, I'll try to ask about it.

about 3 clicks, group preset -> sound character profiler -> low shelf

I would also add some high end, they physically aim above the heads and even if they measure flat they definitely lack some spark because they're not tilted down enough

I came back from the stadium part of the show, you were right, there was A LOT of people. The room with Magico speakers was fully booked so I didn't even saw them. I only liked the Wilson Audio Alexx Vfx with subs this time, especially the headroom was impressive, the price though lol

the funniest thing happened in Sennheiser headphones area, I asked how I can listen to wired headphones as I was interested in both Neumann models. The guy said they don't provide any source or amp then asked what kind of phone I have, I said iPhone and he sneered "we don't have adapters for THOSE", so no listen for me  Next time I'll know to bring my laptop and interface just to test headphones AT AN AUDIO SHOW. The other headphones dealers were great, I could comfortably test DCA Stealth, E3 and Expanse at the same time in a comfy chair, all ready to go, connected to an amp and controlled with a tablet
