Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

The last paragraph is the most telling always in JAs measurement summaries/opinion. :) Admitting he is "puzzled" after projecting some decent-ish adjectives means he probably would not personally consider these in a zillion years. :)

The last edition of Stereophile was quite entertaining in his final paragraph with two of the reviews. :)
How sad is it that a high profile audio review magazine writes reviews that need to be decoded?

I also wish some 70s-80s audio magazines back which were more measurement and even blind test based, on the other hand such classic press wouldn't be probably financially viable nowadays in times where people like us get everything for "free" in the internet, so I am still very happy for JA measurements and "encrypted" comments. It is easy to criticise but very difficult doing something better.

If they didn't name that speaker The Orchid, someone missed a golden opportunity.

It actually does look like those could be cone drivers! :p

From Facebook, WW2 era Leslie-like organ speaker system.

OK, more Sonus Faber

I'm not sure why, but I love the look of these speakers from the now defunct shop Vapor Audio. Nothing ornamental, just a beautiful piano white finish that sets off the cool ass driver complement and waveguide.

These guys did a lot of crazy ply/ stacking construction, like so...

I love everything about these monstrosities: the insanely detailed woodwork, the crazy number of ports and cutouts (?), wooden drivers (??), and of course four built in legs on casters (???). That right there is an alien invader trying to disguise itself as a Tannoy. I, for one, welcome our new wood, no-doubt poorly measuring overlords!

Canton 2.2 DC.jpeg

Canton Reference 2.2 DC. I actually find them quite attractive. By any chance anyone in the thread heard them or owned them? Dual 10" bass, 3 way, 89dB sensitivity, 400W continuous - seems very competent.

Their designs are pretty nice

Yes indeed. These are even more beautiful as newer design. But pair of new DC 2.2 (ones I posted) for Euro 6K is what is tempting. They stopped producing them in 2015, so very few new ones are left and only 1K more expensive than the used ones.
