Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

Nice. However it’s too bad to go for the unfortunate what I call “Band-Aid” looking grills.

This is why I prefer speakers that are design designed with the grills in mind aesthetically, which usually means that the grills are inset and don’t break up the lines of the speaker. Otherwise grills can end up looking like an afterthought.
Probably looks better without

Fischer & Fischer 4 way SN 770.1's. 2 9" subwoofers, 1 9" bass, 2 7" midrange, 1 6" AMT tweeter by Mundorff. All crossovers by Mundorff. All slate cabinets. $40k.

In my opinion, the Fischer&Fischer speakers get progressively better looking towards the smaller end of the model range. The smallest one - appropriately called "klein" is downright cute small box of slate, especially with the grille on:

I have listened the klein and one of the smallish tower models, the SN-270. Imho, they both sounded rather nice. The measurements I have seen have been quite ok, but not state of the art.

Awful mish-mash.
Yes!

No offense meant, but neither the linked article, nor the video constitutes something that is usually accepted as "solid" on this forum. They are both totally subjective reviews without any objective evidence.
For a good reason, F&F speakers are just a life-style product, no more. Cheers.

I understand. I'm not aware of anywhere to audition them.

Sorry, please ignore mine, we are talking here just about "Most beautiful speakers in the world ?". All fine : )
No problem, sharing information is what these forums are all about. You can find the measurements I referred to on site: hifi-voice.com.

That site is from Czech Republic, and unfortunately not available in English, as far as I can see. Anyway, the tests can be found in "Testy a Recenze" under the home page, and with the help of on-line translators, it is possible to get the info. One word of caution however: Apparently neither an anechoic chamber, nor Klippel nfs-equipment, has been available to the testers, so the presented results are affected by room acoustics, which the testers also correctly point out.

I despise Rockports for being overpriced, and their granite (marble?) speakers that looked like cast offs from some quarry were an eyesore, but these things are at least obnoxious in a good way, like Lamborghini-levels of "look at my high tech speakers"
Yep. $133k/$143k custom color. But not granite like Acora. Cast aluminum shell inside, carbon fiber outside with 150 pounds of epoxy poured in between. Leads to an inert inner cabinet. Too bad they sound so amazing. Don't know if you can get their organic sound with a speaker half its price though.

BUT, Rockport just released the Lynx. Cast solid aluminum cabinet. $78k. Perhaps competing against the Magico S5 2024.

I'm pretty sure it's a dense modeling clay type application in those grooves, not epoxy.

The Lynx is solid aluminum. The Orion has 115, not 150, pounds of "proprietary, high hysteresis, viscoelastic core material that bonds both layers together". Damstiff II....I don't know exactly what it is but it's placed between the cast aluminum inner land carbon fiber outer shell layer and bonds the 2 layers together as 1. They call it a composite enclosure.

The bass driver on top might sound interesting in the right space.
I spoke to someone who listened to them and they said the 770's mid bass was excellent with no mid bass frequency drop out. Snares snapped and the bass was fantastic. Very utilitarian look to the speakers. Tri-wired so you can bi-amp.

Of all the crazy overpriced silly speakers out there, those don't seem like a bad deal as such things go.

Either way they sound amazing and DO NOT use Satori drivers. They've been using Textreme material for a LONG time now.
