Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

And Fyne Audio:

That's nice looking wood and carpentry but it would be better without the ugly cone in the front and maybe as a liquor cabinet.

It really is how much of a statement you want to make with speakers. One could argue in wall invisible is best. Others go big. Personally I like Genelecs in a Swedish loft with brick. And more traditional speakers in most applications otherwise. I have friends that have giant Revel or Tannoy speakers in small rooms and it looks like shit. Beauty Really is so subjective.

This is what total disregard for sound engineering practice looks like. Tweeter and midrange set a foot and a half apart? Sideways? Using tweeters very unhappy with xo at under 2k? Off axis comb filtering, anyone? This is just plain silly.
They’re visually quite ugly(not a fan of the pile of boxes look at all), but I’ve heard them twice now(not that model), and both times they sounded incredible. At least to my ears, I wasn’t hearing anything wrong, and quite the opposite.

Maybe we can get some on the NFS one day :).

Underlines all that's wrong with the audio market. It's sad.

Tubes. Lowther drivers. Thinking outside the box Funky design.
To me its part of what makes the audio hobby fun.

The main driver is Fostex I think and I presume the tweeter is the same as my Animas. I really like my Animas, though the varnish has darkened with age so the Burr Myrtle isn't as striking as it was when they were new.
I do still prefer my Goldmund Epilogs though.

I had the price in mind and compared to what you get. There's nothing in that design that can justify the price range IMO. And I find that a general problem with hifi today.

We can see/look so many beautiful and elegant tallboy-style floor-standing speakers on this really enjoyable thread.

Many people are living in diastrophism countries/areas, however, including myself in Japan, and I am (we are) always much concerned about the physical stability of these speakers especially against lateral vibration (i.e. horizontal shaking) given by an earthquake.

1. The heavier the total weight,
2. The lower the height of gravity-center from the supporting base,
3. The wider the surface area of the supporting base (area covered by the supporting spikes/legs),
"the better" the stability against lateral vibration.

We can usually find/calculate on the catalog or spec-sheet total weight and supporting base area, but we do not always know the height of gravity center; we need to speculate/guess the height of the gravity center.

My observations on these speakers always include this "physical stability" perspective.:D

Like clothing and home decor you have to work with the givens (shape and size, colors, materials etc.) as well as the objectives.

It's often at least as interesting to look at the staging of the photo shoot for speakers' marketing glamour pics as at the speaker. The brick or even naked concrete are way more common than this chintzy Tannoy photo.

But I guess the way brands decorate their photo shoots and vendor booths at hifi shows, both of which can be hilarious in the semiotic analysis, should be a separate thread.

Void Acoustics Incubus, rather good PA speaker but ugly and I can't find the OTHER thread, but still fits this one. 21" woofers in there
