Matrix Audio X-SABRE 3 DAC/Streamer Official Thread

Ok I have done some heavy troubleshooting now, which included completely reinstalling Windows for example and now im stuck with some serious problems on this brand new device. I hope its user error on my part.
Everything is installed fine and when I boot up the computer and turn the X-sabre on everything works fine, I can watch youtube for hours if I want to but the trouble starts when im switching apps. If I play a movie clip or music file from the hard drive everything suddenly drops. The computer still shows everything as working its just that there is no sound. And this seems to come when switching programs. If I stick to one and the same everything works but when I switch I need to reboot both the computer and the X-sabre for everything to start working again.

Have you tried changing exclusive mode setting from your audio device properties?

(the picture is just from my laptop speaker settings, but all audio devices should have those settings)

since the last update of ma remote, the Matrix finds my nas but the music no longer synchronizes. Does anyone have this problem too?

Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone?
When you are tapping on the sync button, what happened?
Did you see the following page?

Hi, this is the built-in UPnP function by Synology NAS, it doesn't support search, so couldn't be imported into Library of MA Remote App.
In this case, you can browse the UPnP server by folders. After that pop-up notification, back to Library - Files.

If you want to import all the contents from the UPnP server to the Library, The UPnP server should support "search" functionality. You can install a MinimServer on your Synology. Please refer to this tutorial. https://matrix-digi.feishu.cn/docx/JHxtdTuMuonD7JxF8ehcFHcHn5f
Just like the screenshot above, tick the UPnP server named MinimServer, albums will be imported.

Mini server does not recognize xsabre3.
Before this update I had no problems. Before, ma remote read the contents of my nas without problem.

It's great for upnp
You could also try cleaning your app's cache on your phone

It seemed that you did not define a folder as MinimServer's Library. Look at the red words.

About frequency response on XLR i was reading:
Frequency Response: 20 Hz-20 kHz ±0.05 -3dB@86 kHz

Means that response is up to 86KHz ?

When will X-Sabre 3 support Max audio quality in Tidal Connect. Now it switches to High when I select my X-Sabre from Tidal. I have latest available firmware (1.1.0).

Same thing happens in the Windows app and Android app so I think it is not implemented in X-Sabre 3 firmware yet.

Try the Mconnect/Bubble UPnP Apps with the UPnP protocol, which pushes the FLAC instead of Matrix pulling via Tidal Connect.

Asked about this from Tidal and got following response:

"Please note that even though your Matrix device can handle higher qualities on its own, it is required that the device you will use through TIDAL has to be a HiRes FLAC (Max quality) supported with TIDAL. If you check this HiRes FLAC TIDAL Supported Devices page, you will notice that, unfortunately, Matrix devices don't appear as supported."

I registered a feature request to add support for X-Sabre 3.

Matrix probably needs to pay additional fees to realise hi-res tidal connect.

BTW I don't understand the idea of integrating even simple streamer into DAC.
The future firmware problems are obvious. They will abandon x sabre 3 after realising newer model (x sabre 4?), just like they did with previous model x sabre pro mqa (no low dpll setting untill now).

Problem after updating Firmware to 1.1.1 Build004

Does anyone have the same Problem?

After the update to 1.1.1 Build004 I could not coose vTuner radio stations any more. When I click on one of my favorite stations it does not play any music. Same happens if I choose randomly any vTuner radio station.
