Lots of 4" thick absorber 24x48" panels set up on legs around the room, and the ceiling having several panels and a lot of diffusers. Kind of eerie sounding in there. I love it!

I guess it depends upon the assay.
Bioassays are probably the most cogent, but can be difficult to calibrate.

The stuff aimed at bizarre facial decoration works great! The "anti-aging" segment, on the other hand, is 100% snake-oil.

I have two also. My music is more than slightly better and movies a lot better.

More important question is where is the fraud? The boxes do what the manufacturer claims: they are very small, play low and loud in medium sized room.

But are they worth the money I spent? Nope.

Reality is we spent over 5k for a slight lower end extension. Probably added 10% to my experience.

I’m at this moment done with audio in general. There’s nothing more for me to invest in.

Well many have encountered being shocked in the morning thinking that maybe it was a shapeshifter.
I guess in that scenario, cosmetics is a type of “Snake Oil”… in a double entendre sense.

Indeed the night and day differences people describe when upgrading already competent gear are absolutely ridiculous. Would I call it fraud? Maybe not, but overstated fir sure and I get your point.
