I just received the DMP-A8 and am using rca analog out to the cd input of my Denon X3700 avr. Is it possible to bypass the preamp function of the A8 with analog connection? I see a volume passthrough option for digital connections but not for analog. If not what is the optimal process for volume control using avr with analog connection? Should I max the volume on the A8? Thanks

Hello,
I'm mainly using the internal player as the DAC pleases me.
Nevertheless, I was hoping to output to a USB DAC for a special usecase.
I have a small Fiio DAC with bluetooth LDAC transmitter that lets me enjoy movies in my IEM/haedphones.
They are connecte to a Quedelix 5K. Unfortunately, there's no way to output the extarnal USB DAC when the source is not the Internal player.
Do you think this could be an upcoming feature ?
Is my usecase totally weird or "Niche" ?
I'm also facing a weird situation.
I just realized that in the "Streaming Music services", a Tidal and Deezer premium accounts are already connected.
These are not mine.
The DMP-A6 was supposed to be new, but anyway, even it was already used, the device was wiped when first turned on.
I had to set it up from scratch. How can those accounts be connected ?
This is strange.

Clearly not a new unit.
@billygwh3 I would just turn the volume to maximum, if you can’t use the volume passthrough.

It isn’t unreasonable to expect a new sealed unit if you pay the new price.
I suppose this is what happens when shops are offering up to 90 days ‘trial’.

The little box containing the AC adaptor was a bit damaged. I did not want to believe it, and tried to convince myself.
The unit itself was like new. No scratch or anything.
I would have kept it without the account issues.
Will definitely return it.
Do they have to tell you when the device comes back from a trial ?

The black box is shrink wrapped in cellophane, yes they should state that the unit is ex-dem or ‘b’ stock or second hand.

I've scanned my local files library using NFS.
I can browse it and it works well.
But folders and subfolder's thumbnails/covers are not displayed when browsing the library on iPad and Android App
Just files display covers when browsing.
My cover files are cover.jpg or folder.jpg different sizes and no luck.
Any idea ?

This doesn't sound like an issue on A6 side. Maybe you need to check your NFS share parameters

I've checked my NSF settings. No restrictions or whatsoever. Same thing if i scan my library with SMB protocole instead of NFS.
I can see folder's covers when browsing the library directly on the device but covers do not show up when i browse the library on the iOS or Android app.
Im' talking about the library browsing.
For instance, i f i browse the artists or albums tabs, covers are displayed, but not in the library tab.
Funny thing, if i browse files from the "Files" section" of the app, folder's covers are displayed but not the files'covers...

I have connected to the A6 Audiophonics HP400 amplifier and Gustard P26 preamp, the sound is great, I put it on my Triangle columns, it's amazingly accurate, it's incredible the level of detail, accurate highs without excess.

I like this product a lot. Not enough to replace an AVR in a my system but.. If they were to come with a product, with similar aesthetics and performance levels but with :
1) DSP/DRC Audyssey-like or Dirac with DLBC...
2) EQ with Adaptive loudness
3) Subwoofers outputs (2 at least)
4) Analog inputs
5) Digital inputs?

I believe they'd have the perfect product, for me at least

Dream product, maybe. I believe such features would answer many prayers. I also understand that would come at a cost.

Well just use a receiver. I connected my dmp a6 m.a to my denon receiver via hdmi. It sounds great, but I must say that the denon's own heos streamer sounds great aswell (but the app is a bit less convenient)
When listening a bit more critically, I stream via usb to my external dac (gustard r26), usong xlr to my denafrips hestia preamp and from there to the poweramp

Hello Team
I`ve messed up the music files by transferring and changing location in the SSD
So it may be a good time to start from scratch
Remove the SSD and reformat the unit (EversoloA6)
Options:
1 Re-upload the music files into the SSD from the computer (100GB) and how best to do it
2 Ripping all the CDs with the computer again (WMA)with EAC
3 Or ripping the CDs straight from a portable CD player attached to the Eversolo A6..one by one

I prefer quality over convenience

Yes the files are digitally stored
Question..s
Are indexing and transferring files digitally equal to ripping the (mostly Flac) to WMA with EAC
Or directly into the A6 via a portable CD player
I`m concerned about the eventuality of losing quality to the computer's internal "noisy" environment
The Eversolo is mainly used as a music server for the Kefs Ls50 w via USB
